We do appreciate you guys telling us about the bugs but the best way to do it to get it fixed is to email us at bugreports@project-ukf.com

wow! that SA-80 is awesome wow_o.gif great modeling and texturing job guys!

i also like how the soldier would automatically stab the enemy with the bayonet. much more effective and easy to use smile_o.gif

i'm very very impressed with this release. keep up the good work!

Well wtf is the thread for then...bows and praise only? Addon discussion IS ABOUT bugs half the time. What do you want to discuss then?

I'm getting error after error after error so I'm reporting them in what I figure to be a constructive way. I don't understand why I seem to be doing something incorrect here.

Oh for God's sake...some fella started this thread to announce the release of the infantry pack.  Shortly thereafter Jonno posted an email address and asked people to report any bugs via that means.

Neither of the subsequent two instances in which we asked you again to report bugs to the address given could possibly be interpreted as 'complaints'.

If you review the thread, you'll find it consists of people doing one of three things:

-Offering praise

-Asking questions

-Reporting bugs

That's not our fault.  The thread was started as an announcement, not even by a UKF team member!  It didn't require any reply, but people did regardless.  Now, I'm sure you're right, 'Addon discussion IS about bugs half the time', and we value your feedback but we've asked at least three times now for any bug reports to be sent to the email address. That's all we're going on about. sad_o.gif

Hello.....

These are some top notch units but I was wondering if it is possible to make a completely ai group put the bayonets on or is it only by player.... I would really like to know since I want a massive charge with bayonets..... you know you had the naggin feeling to do the same so be nice and share the script? smile_o.gif

by the way... would this team feel like sharing this miracle breakthrough with other mods that really badly rely on the bayonet such as that civil war mod? rock.gif

The only reason we ask for bug reports to be mailed is that way there is better chance we will be made aware of them all, so that we can nail them for the 1.1 update.

At the moment Im trawling all the various big sites and forums to track down all the bug reports, we could be spending this time fixing bugs and working on other things.

Echoing what Mav said earlier, thankyou for all the kind comments, and yes thankyou for the feedback AND bug reports.

Now go start planning/making some decent missions to use these units, and the Landrovers at a later date, chances are we may host any good ones on the missions section of our site, once it's up.

As posted on the 'bayonet anim for a rifle' thread: Try entering the following line of code into a unit's init field:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">[This] Exec "\ukf_ukweps\Scripts\FixBayonet\FixCommand.sqs"

That should cause every soldier in that unit's group to attach his bayonet as soon as the game starts. If you want them fixed immediately from the start, just remove the soldier's 'UKF_SA80' and replace it with a 'UKF_SA80_B'. The script should automatically pick up the abnormality and take appropriate action.

As for sharing the script...well I've had a really bad day and I'm not inclined to describe the way it works right now...but you can talk to Jonno about getting the script itself if you like. Problem is though, the way I see it, the bayonet script (although buggy) is one of the things that sets our infantry apart from other addons. It's our novelty bit. He'll probably not give it out to anyone who asks, perhaps the falklands mod, but not 'til the 1.1 release (he wants me to fix all these bugs first). crazy_o.gif

Love the pack, but I have a bug to report. One, you site doesn't load on my home PC - not important. Whenever I get in a vehicle as a PUKF guy I get multiple choices on the action menu, "Fix Bayonet" for example, these keep mulitplying, and although not terrible, it is bloddy annoying.
