sanctuary 19 Posted April 1, 2004 This demo is just a slideshow for my system even on LOW/OFF everywhere. Even OFP seems to be the smoothest game ever in front of Joint Ops. And when i remember that recently , on my old system i had the surprise to play the Far Cry demo with better graphics than J.O. while being smooth on my GF2 , that is just hilarious . Well the trailer bragged about controllable land, sea and air vehicles and even featured an operative jumping on the side of an OH58, so it seemed to be touting a lot of features OFP has. Baron Hurlothrumbo IIX 0 Posted April 1, 2004 Just tried it. Not impressed. Vehicle physics: terrible. Just... wrong. Far too simplified, far too basic, far too arcadey. Boats bounce off the beach from about 3 metres away instead of sliding up them. Jeeps bounce off trees. Weapons... ok. No sway, no aiming really required, just spray and pray. There is some good things in it though, water is somewhat nice and game is able to handle big matches, tried it in some german server and there were 60+ players. Can't you do that in real life? It just imitates real life. I don't consider every game that has a jump button to imitate the first game that offered it. Delta Force: Black Hawk Down EDIT: After trying the game I just realized that OPF is a very realistic game then Joint Operations.
