The amount of work that must have gone into this project is staggering... I cant believe this isn't front page news on every OFP news site.

I want to see WGL on every MP server there is!! Spread the word!!!!

This Mod is phantastic. I hope you guys keep using your weapons and soldiers as they are now, because better graphics != better gameplay.

Some suggestions:

- make the trees on the map smaller and make them more transparent. as they are now they create some map lag and they hide any structures on the map

- the A-10 has a way to big turning radius on ground; hope you adjust the wheelSteeringCoef to a higher value, because even the AI can't use the Taxiway properly

- the Mission Editor really could get an overhaul

I hope you keep up the awesome work; I think I'll make this my "default" mod to play.

I've a lot of bugs many lot of the pappy's mod...

with mortar,and the others addons

I have no new sky

this not look very realistic like I think before download

but some good effect

sorry gentlemen but I prefer pappy's mod...it's more interessant

please make a patch to remove all those f... bugs

i'm missing things left and right

mainly the zuni.p3d, which won't let me use the a-10 or stinger, and the uralt.p3d, which bugs me in the opening screen.

Pappy's mod is a reconfig, these are a lot of units. I know he wouldn't even claim to be better, so don't put him on the spot.

This looks good so far, but the mortar bug where you place the tube and it disappears is quite evident. The claymore one also.

I know this is probably not the time, but do you have a classname list? I'm trying to edit CTI for WGCTI 4.0... unless you already have some ctis edited?

Digmortar? Can't use the mortars because of that, static MG's do not have ammo, that's about it.

If this works like the other WGL packs, you need to follow the instructions carefully for setting up missions with the mortar. You need to add a civilian with a particular name on the map and add static mortars near by to get the mortars to appear correctly. Also in the previous packs, the MG's are all empty because the need to be loaded, just like in real life. How bout that. A gunner carrying a 50 cal sure aint going to be carrying ammo too.

Everyone that has downloaded the pack, I thank you. Thanks everyone for the comments as well. Here's a few comments of my own to respond a bunch of people...

Bugs...

- Read the WG FAQ file located in your OFP folder. It explains a lot of things...

- The mortars are not broken if you get an error, you just haven't setup the mission correctly. Again, read the FAQ because it's the first question answered.

- The machine guns (with exception of DshK) are not supposed to start with magazines. You are supposed to load the magazines into the weapon as you do in real life. If you want to add ammunition to them in the mission editor you can addMagazine (wgl_M2Mag, wgl_NSVMag, wgl_AGS17Mag)

- P3D errors. This is a new bug that I've never heard anyone having. I certainly don't have it, and the A10 works just fine for me and people I've talked to.

- Sky installer compatibility with Win98 and WinME. If someone can point me in the direction of the fixed version of Keg's installer I would appreciate it and will include it in the future packs/patches.

- Crew weapons can be deployed by AI under your command using the command radio menu. They can also be commanded to pick the crew weapons up again.

New Features in the Future...

- New interface. We're steadily working on a new interface to replace the existing interface. However we faced time concerns and had to hold it back in this release. It will be a future release sometime in the next month or two.

- Different weapon models. There's a lot of weapons out there to choose from. I tried to pick things that were relatively low poly and looked good. Also, it helped that I got most of the weapons from the same pack to cut the work down. I hope that the weapons included cover the major bases.

- VDV Models. What a lot of people don't understand is that this pack has been in development since April 2003 and the first release was September. The VDV were included a few months ago back when those were the only VDV soldiers available. I would love to include the newer VDV at some point.

- Singleplayer/Coop. The pack started out as MP mostly but we've always tried to keep the features compatible with AI. However some things are just outside our skills. Hopefully in the future we can team up with some people and make the pack's few features that don't play nice with AI, a lot better.

Should i install 2.01 -> 2.50 -> 4.00

or is just 4.00 good enough?

i'm running 1.96, albeit i believe it is the older beta.

edit - btw, i cleaned all my addons out before installing this. This is because, if i have too many addons, my game goes technicolor on me. So, i shouldn't have any real conflicts.

nuts. Maybe i'll just uninstall flashpoint, reinstall, and reinstall the pack.

I noticed two bugs:

-I cant get the air burst effects to work. The bullets still act like the standart bullets. They keep flying instead of exploding in the air. Am I doing something wrong?

-The "dead"-animation on the HMMWV-gunners isnt working.

Thanks MSpencer, I can probably use that in my editing as well ;)

I've talked to some other people getting the missing p3d error. Very strange, I'm thinking it could have something to do with the sky installer or incompatibility with some other replaced file. It's difficult to release a proper mod into a world of replacement files. All I know is that I can install it onto my Win2k machine with clean files and it works as intended. If you have the p3d problem, you're desparate, and willing to be a guinea pig, reinstall the whole game and try installing WGL 4.0 again (without any other addons in /addons or /res/addons, or other modified files) and let me know how it goes.

One of the reasons we included the new sky was so we could check more mod files in league play. Shouldn't be difficult to remove/replace with another sky; just replace or remove the wgl/dta files. I suspect we can release a simple batch file to fix Win98 compatibility.

tried it for 5 mins.

got bored and annoyed with it and uninstalled it

cool ideas but it is so for mp not for SP..

it is a bitch to get the ai to set up a weapon load it and fire it. it might be real but it just takes to much time.

I could see in MP it goin alot faster.

it would have been better just to have 1 guy carry the whole motar and ammo unrealistic but much smoother for SP..

nice MP game pack nothing more..

I will stick to using raw add-ons or ECP..

I have been a huge fan of your mod for a while, so congrats on another great release.  However I have a couple of questions/complaints:

- The ATGM on BMP-1/2 still has a faulty control problem.  Interestingly, this is not a problem on a BMD-3, which IRL fires the same ATGM as BMP-2 (hint, hint...)

- Most Russian IFVs are deprived of smoke launchers; this was not the case circa 1980s Central Europe

- Smoke fired from IFVs does not seem to block the visibility for AI, as it was promised in the read-me.

- I have mentioned this in a couple of other threads, but no one seems to believe me...  Still for the records - there is no such thing as a suppressed AK-74, just AK-74SU.

- As long as you are changing the config.bin, please consider changing the aimPrecision variable in order to make realistic aiming for infantry weapons.

- Finally, I can't seem to figure out how to make the AI players use their backpacks.  This was promised in the read-me, yet I don't see any options for that.

On the overall though, thanks for doing this extensive work!!!

Just d/l ed WGL 4.0, and despite following the Read-Me's mortar section....I can't seem to find the description.ext "that was included with this pack." It just aint there.
