Vitapc pack 1.1 finale

Recommended Posts

... But I'm more concerned about an ingame comparison between the BMD3 and BMP3 in this pack.

Afaik one of them is even better than a Shilka vs Choppers (not sure which one it is). As soon as they have a chopper in their sight, they only stop shoting on it if it's destroyed.

(I think it'sthe one without the AGS-GrenadeLauncher)MEDICUS

But what about their armor values? Is one stronger than the other ingame?

Just for fun, I tested this out. Both the BMD3 and BMP3 do an equivalent job of knocking a Chinook to the ground.

Again, my question is whether their armor strengths are different in-game.

Again, my question is whether their armor strengths are different in-game.

Checked the config.cpp and found this:

Quote[/b] ]//== All BMD3 classes ==

class VIT_BMD3: BMP

{

        displayName="BMD 3";

..........

            armor=250;

//== All BMP3 classes ==

class VIT_BMP3: VIT_BMD3M

{

               displayName="BMP 3";

..........

               armor=350;

The BMP3M and BMP3 Arena have the same as the BMP3

That's the BMP3 though. I bet the BMD has less armor because it's airborne (I know it does in reality). The BMD was designed for light armored transport and killing infantry.

Ive always wondered why does the BMD have diferent tracks than the BMD3M or the BMP3 on the green cammo versions but not on the desert cammo rock.gif The mentioned tracks do look even better.

This addon pack really raised the bar, i think people focus so much on west addons and helicopters that some of them miss some of the best units out there, quality wise wink_o.gif .

Excuse me for revive this old thread, but I´m using VitApc pack 1.4 with his VIt apc config and DKMM_RSC 1.51 and still remains an error message ("cannot load addon: missing addon file") when I kill some enemy BMP3.

I was digging hard here trying to find the solution, but the only one I found It´s a little tricky for me.

I'll be very grateful with any help or advice about this.

Hello Overcharger,I've got the Vitapc pack too(1.4),but I've never

encountered that particular problem.Despite lining them all up

and blasting 'em to bits.

Perhaps it's your version of the DKMM_RSC?I'm using version 1.50.

Although I tried the version that came with the installer,1.40,

I still didn't get that error.However I got a different one relating to

a burner script.But still nothing to do with missing addons.

:)

I've been using vit_apc_1.4 with the latest dkm_rsc (1.5?) for quite some time. Many missions I play used and I have never had a problem. Have used indiviual vehicles in the editor and never a problem. May it's something else causing the errors.

Thanks guys, but in this thread are some comments about the same problem related to the BMP´s smoke launcher. One of the solutions is to use the launcher inside the editor in order to "declare" the weapon in the mission file.

The other one is to modified the config.bin file inside the pbo, but I can´t do that for some reason. Probably, I´m using the wrong program to compress the file.

Thanks anyway.

PD: I got the error only when I play a mission in a LAN, not when I play alone or when I test the mission in the editor. All of my friends have the same addon pack including the same dkm_rsc (1.50 I think).
