Sole 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Hey guys I've completed v2.0 of the FN Herstal F2000 The addon now comes with 2 additional 40mm equiped versions. New sounds, new muzzleflash and the removal of bugs (at least the ones I known about). Optional JAM support is also available. And I've put a little extra in the zip aswell I've added a mission with it so you can play straight away (mission can be played in both SP as in MP coop) some screenshots download - 1.20mb thanks to Supah for hosting the file for now Cheers

gazmen 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Hi, thanks for your files, great addons  You should merge the JAM & original files... It would be more simple, also you should add M4 mag & BAS_M4mag compatibility... Thanks for your work  (you should try to find a better optic)
Sole 0 Posted January 16, 2004 I made the JAM compatability a seperate addon so that people who don't play with JAM units can still use the addon. I am not going to add more compatible mags though, I use my own dedicated F2000 mags and I use JAM because that is the only standardisation project around. No need to use other 30 round 5.56 NATO mags.. as for the sight, this is what it looks like in real life...
Abuu 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Nice Sole ;) Optic is fine imho.
SelectThis 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Just a note regarding JAM compatiability. For upgrades to existing addons it is best to keep the JAM part in a seperate PBO, to stop problems with older missions that used that addon. For completely new addons it is just as simple to include the JAM code with the main pbo. Nice work Sole. SelectThis
Jackal326 1182 Posted January 16, 2004 But for those who do not have/want JAM (for whatever reason) its best to keep the JAM coding in a sperate PBO, so as not to deny those individuals the right to use the addon.
miles teg 1 Posted January 17, 2004 Yeah I think the addon is good the way it is. I really like the sounds alot and the weapon sights I think are beautiful as are the textures on the weapon. I'm also glad you used the Resistance sniper guys for the silenced weapons, although I really wish you also made a "West" black ops version. But that's cool as I can just do it myself in the map editor. Still it would have saved a little bit of time. I just made a nice Airport assault mission using the silenced version of the weapons, and those guys totally cleaned up the airport at night. It'll be nice putting these weapons on the BAS Delta or Ranger soldiers also. Is this the weapon that's supposed to replace the M4 in the U.S. Army by the way? Heatseeker 0 Posted January 17, 2004 Nice rifle, it looks great, it sounds great (loved the reload sound) and it kills great . The jeep with new animation is nice but it should have a slight diferent name from the normal one. I also tried the demo, killed all infantry in the castle with the supressed rifle but it didnt end, am i suposed to clear Trosky too? (bmp, t72 and ural with infantry). Guess only thing we would need now would be sticky shockers and diversion cameras .
drewb99 0 Posted January 17, 2004 I don't think the US DoD has any plans of adopting the F2000, they have the XM29 and the XM8 to fill its roles.

SHWiiNG 0 Posted January 18, 2004 why why why does it need resistance version 1.92 to work i dont want to download it cause of multiplayer restrictions.
edc 0 Posted January 18, 2004 The 1.92/93/95 betas make another exe, so you can still connect to 1.91 servers, just by running the normal exe.
