I seem to think Cat's Central Afghanistan map (vers. 3) does a decent enough job of simulating northern Iraq aswell Miles.

What with the hilly/mountainous terrain and such.

The MIA Iraz pack will include Version 4.0 of CAT's Afghan island and 2 more Afghan-simulating islands using CAT's textures & objects .

Thats certainly great news, absolutely can't wait until those islands are released, I thoroughly enjoyed Cats 3rd Afghan island, as it seemed to have a lot of potential for Mission/Campaign creation, and not just for Afghanistan themed ops. But also Northern Iraq themed ops, of which I've been working on a campaign for a clan/squad I'm in, which basically "labels" the northern-most part of that island the Turkish/Northern Iraqi border, and is a fictional take on Operation Iraqi Freedom, albeit the clan's name is used for some fictional Coalition Task Force thats set up shop within the Turkish border and plans to invade Iraq from the North, while the US and Brits are invading from the South (although they're technically not in the campaign.)

Just a random number i did from a pic i took off a BRDM-2 which was in a black circle with 2 white arabic numbers to show the vehicles number.

hey you guys are doing a great job but i thought id quickly mention something that caught me eye.

i saw the pics on ofp.info and the leather gloves the guys are wearing are really... well not good, too femanine looking, just my opinion, thought id say so though incase you might think so too after hearing it.

Did you mean the gloves on the US guys? but i will mention this to hottentotten mike who is working on them but i am sure he has based them off gloves which he has seen in some images.

I think it's the way they are alligned, or where the hand joins the arm which makes them look slightly iffy. They're rather angly where they join at the wrist

Just got an e-mail from h.m and he has said that the wrists have been changed to look a lot more better but he is still optimising them so they look better. But don't worry they won't look "feminine" or anything like that.

yea i just meant i guess the glove textures kinda look like a womans glove, and long, not like a mans glove but who knows maybe make them darker tho, more worn looking.

In Arabic its right to left not left to right

Btw RTR commander these units are just perfect for a mission that has been brewing in my mission fodler for nearly a year now , it was suffering from good iraqi units which hopefully yours will fulfill. I was using EDGE's resistance then some random geurilla type people but these look more solid and will fit neatly in to my mission and its story .

Well i am glad these will be of benefit to your mission. I am glad we can move on now from these guys as we have two new projects in waiting and these promise to be very good indeed. I won't say now as it may spoil things but we have some good projects in line.

Btw i second that guys call for Iraqi tank crewman , ive got this mission using RHS T-55 but they dont have iraqi crews , and caucasions dont sit well with scenario

Yes but that depends if numbers are written in numbers or letters.

Yes your right i overlooked that myself , i stated the opposite i was thinking about the alphabet stuff myself

Numbers = Left to Right

Alphabets = Right to Left

yeah arabic is differen then hebrew.

hebrew is always read right to left even numbers wich are rarely used most hebrew uses western digits for numbers sicne you can confuse hebrew numbers with words and there is an few different ways to write the same number
