One thing that I might add is that you might want to use custom animations for the screenshots.  There are several great animation packs that are great for screenshots of infantry.   No offense to BIS, but the BIS default standing animation for the soldiers is just really really bad as they are standing bow-legged and with their hands in strange positions sometimes.

At any rate, for future infantry screenshots your units would look even better if you had them posing in action shots using one of the custom animation packs.

Yeah will have to get in the habit of doing that - i have a few animation packs already - just never really got round to using them.

But thanx for the idea and i will do this from now on.

Hi IM:UC,

First of all keep up the good work.I really am intrested in your mod and I await your releases impatiantly.

I do have what I hope is some constructive criticism.First of all nice to see you are covering the Iraqi standard units but the textures I think it has been said are a bit washed off.Not a big problem hope you manage them by the time of their release.

Second of all the soldiers model looks quite akward,I think it`s the BIS default soldier.The arms are just too "fat"(couldn`t find a more apropiate word) as if the soldiers were on steroids.A good referance could be Laser`s soldier model,it`s probably the best and most realistic up to date plus if I remember corectly he gave permision for everybody to use it with proper credit.Other then that it looks like a wonderful job.

And also two questions:

What part of Iraq will the island you are making covers and whose side are you going to play in the campaign-if there will be one.

Thank you for what you have said and i think you have brought up relvant points in your constructive criticism. With the textures i agree some of them are a bit washed off as you put it and these will hopefully be improved on when they go high-res - so i am pretty sure this won't happen in the teaser release unfortunately.

About the soldier models yes they were based off the BIS default soldier and they do have those 'fat' looking arms which i have tried to make a little better. Will look into Lasers soldier models and see if we are able to use them as a base line for the model.

With the 2 questions we have planned 2 maps of Iraq one being central Baghdad and the other being around Saddam International Airport (the second may change but we are just focusing on the first map which is in the streets of Baghdad and then we can see where things go from there)

There will be one campaign and this will be played from an Iraqi perspective.

All of the mod will take place in Southern Iraq and Baghdad.

Right with our teaser pack that has been put back as we are changing the soldier model and won't look so bulky now.

We also have some nice screens which will feature in our Baghdad map and these are below:

It won't look amazingly improved due to it only being a teaser and we will be putting most of the effort in the final version of the Iraqis - but they won't look so bulky this time round.

Will keep you posted as news comes in.

I am not 100% sure on the fog effects as i haven't done anything on that. But all i do know it is part of our objects pack and it looks good.

What island is used in the pictures of the Iraqi Infantry pack?  It looks great :o!

I think it is the default desert island which comes with OFP. Just the plams and grass have been added to make it look different as they are part of our objects pack.

We haven't actually started on the Baghdad map as yet.

Also with the question about the fog script i'll quote what hottentotten mike had to say

"on the question of a user of the officail forum concering the fog: it is a brand new particle which is randomly placed in a certain area with an alpha value dependant on the height of its creation so the fog is the thicker the lower it is, and nearly tranparent at a height of 2 meters. compared to the recent screenshot i've scaled down the fog effect a bit due to playability reasons, but its' still very nice. i wouldn't recommend it to users of slower computers or for heli missions. the script is in no way related to that of bas. all brand new "  biggrin_o.gif
