By the way, you should have seen the wasps here one summer! I think it was last year. It was a pleasant heat, BUT (there's always a but), the wasps... the wasps were crazy! They were like kamikaze!

You're just walking along, minding you're own business when a couple of wasps zip by you, fast as bullets! Honestly! They were just INSANE! (Must be something to do with the mysterious moon.)

Wasps are always kamikaze psychos. They almost act like aircraft. There was a nest on my roof that I wasn't aware of. I walked by in and a wasp took off from the roof and buzzed me off. It somehow reminded of me a F-14 buzzing a Soviet TU-95 bomber that was threatening it's carrier (My roof).

I had a kamikaze hornet sting me when I was in California two years ago. I was minding my own business, when all the sudden a hornet nose-dived into my right wrist. It made me drop my 42 oz Dr.Pepper (What a waste). I guess it thought by liberating by drink from the imperialist hand that it would be greeted in paridise by 72 virgin hornets.

And another thing! Why do wasps exist? I can understand bees (honey for Sugar Puffs! ), but wasps?! I'll give them buzzing in your ear for no reason!

Youch! Major power outages in New York, Detriot, and I think Toronto and Ottawa they said too.

That's gotta suck for them. Really hot right now, and you should see a picture of the streets. So many people are using them to get home that cars can barely move.

Heres its cooled down to about 22-25C but  it feels much cooler,maybe because of lower humidity or breezes

It is just because, i dont believe anything that came from the mouth of any of our frenchy politicians.

I remember too much what they did in 1986

Our right+left wing politics guys saying together , hand in the hand behind their own scientifics "there is an anticyclone that protected us from the Tchernobyl"

So our good politicians didnt took any measure to protect anyone resulting in no prevention campaign against thyroid cancer in the most infected zones .... with the result you know if you follow the people with thyroid cancer versus the state case.

Every other european country governments took measures in their country and admited that they were hit, not us according to our leaders  .

so when the french politician "estimation" is 1500-3000 , you can say for sure that the real number is more than 3000 , that is how i "decode" their estimations

Here in Arizona its 100+ a good portion of the year with about 2-3 months of 110+

And yes AC here is a must but the heat still doesnt keep people from going outdoors. I dont have any AC in my Jeep and the heat doesnt bother me much (although I get pretty soaked in sweat when i go for a long drive, especially on the crowded freeways where the temperatue is a lot higher).

Anyways my point is the human body is amazingly adaptable, you guys just need to adjust and get used to it

P.S. I wish the heat in Arizona would kill off some of our senior citizens, or at least send them back to their home states, damned snowbirds!

Here in Chicago, it's been a very cool summer. We've only had 3 days of temperatures over 90 degrees F. Normally, all of July and August would be 90-105 degrees F. I feel bad for you guys over in Europe.

Our AC failed a few days ago so we're living in heat. it's actually hotter indoors than outdoors, but its night time so i guess that can be expected

that's inland france for you

red roofs are quite rare , but you happen to see some , black roof are not compulsory , but they have been and still are the most used roof cover on classical buildings in the region

Well since I found it interesting to look at the pics you posted here is my old neigbourhood from Poland where I was born. I just found the pic so I'm all into remembering the place.

1. Was where I lived with my parents.

2. Were gigantic construction sites = great playgrounds to get yourself some broken bones and grab some cool shit

3. Well at least at some point that is where my father worked, some sort of mechanical/electrical industry. they were building weapons there when it was time to get rid of the commies, but don't think they needed them.

4. Of course 4 is the chemical plant for WMD's. ;)

5. There was a cement garbage shed there where I played around with some little explosives all the time.

I don't currently have better pics, but check out the church. On the outside the church was truly amazing, the structure and decoration that is. Inside also, but not colourfull. That town has a pretty nice town square too.

It looks pretty dull, but in that town and around it there was just about anything so you were never bored if you liked to burn stuff, blow shit up, make some weird downhill gokarts or whatever else was illegal. I guess that's ok for kids, but if you were a teenager etc. it would be pretty bad for the lack of any entertainment. I mean it was basically an industrial type of city back in the commie days.

One thing I will always miss about that place is the old weather, man was it ever stable and mild. I won't miss the people much because most of them moved out to Toronto Canada anyway.

EDIT: To the right of the right 2 is where my school was. And it's also a shame the city's hospital which my grandfather ran is not visible, it was to the top left of the church.

Yesterday , it was raining heavily in my area , i was happy (but sad for the people where this heavy rain was a devastating tempest in their area)

But today, the weather is back with few-to-no wind to the very hot temperatures
