Well he didn't say he would leave for good. Maybe he'll be back for OFP2?

It's good to take breaks from gaming now and then. When you come back it all feels fresh again. I took a break for 7 months and now OFP is fun again.

In addition its bad for your health to sit in front of a desk all day.

I talked with Klink and asked him if it was true that he is retiring from OFP and he said this:

This true I'm afraid.. well from public addon making. I will still be with the Falklands team until the mod is finished. Real life needs take priority its sad to say and as I am nearing real life retirement I need to sort myself out an income for that.

I will still be on the forums never fear.. as I am still and avid OFPer.

Klink's a fantastic bloke and we were all worried about his health, but he's reassured us that he will be with the Falklands War Mod until the end, so all is not lost you'll still see some quality models from him!!  

But speaking as a neutral it is indeed a sad day for ofp...

Speaking of the tutorials, I hope Colonel Klink "commissions" someone else to complete his aircraft making tutorial which I thought was very good and helpful, just another aspect of this brilliant person's commitment to the community
