USMC Sniper 0 Posted October 19, 2003 2. OFP has a mission editor to allow for user made expansions/mods/missions/campaigns. Does Max Payne 2? It does (or will)! Remedy are going to release the map editor and the other editors soon, as they say.
drewb99 0 Posted October 19, 2003 The 1st game came with all the mod tools included, animations, particle effects, maps, I assume Remedy will do the same.
Mister 5 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Short, but oh so sweet. Love the game, can't wait for Max Payne 3.
smogmorph 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Dick Justice Lords and Ladies Great game! Been occupied with it for the last 4 hours!
Jacko 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Yep great game But I have a feeling that the bullet time is faster then in the first part. I know that in the first part you could see the bullets fly, didn't see one bullet in the second part.
drewb99 0 Posted October 19, 2003 The more people you kill in bullet time, the slower it goes.
Antichrist 0 Posted October 19, 2003 Nothing new really! Could've just released an addon for the first one instead!
EiZei 0 Posted October 20, 2003 Nothing new really! Could've just released an addon for the first one instead! You do not consider totally new physics engine, plot and greatly improved graphics new? Boy, you must have hard time playing typical game sequels.
waffendennis 0 Posted October 20, 2003 cool it's out now i only have to wait on the demo and see it by my self.
SpaceAlex 0 Posted October 20, 2003 I heard it's really short, I hate short games Isn't Resistance short? Â Still longer than Max Payne 2, if u include the single player missions. But who cares about that. MP 2 looks like a great game. I just hope those dream sequences are not too long. I really hate 'em!
GoOB 0 Posted October 20, 2003 I heard it's really short, I hate short games I hear the same thing. Peopls that were quite good at max payne 1 can beat the second game in 10 hours. But it's really worth it, right now im at Part 2 Chapter 4 and its awesome!! Whoa ten hours, I beat MGS2 in fourteen hours. And MGS1 in just over fifteen. None of the above are short games, are they? If it takes ten hourst to complete I'd call it a medium length game. Many new games take like 4-5 hours to complete.
Acro 0 Posted October 20, 2003 Games tend to last limited time and i hate it ! Â MGS1 and Max Payne were too short. I played them trough just in one day. Neverwinter nights took me a week. Luckily we have internet and multiplayer possibility.
Dauragon 0 Posted October 20, 2003 well i finished final fantasy X in 120 hours The final fantasy series are a long game
FallenPaladin 0 Posted October 20, 2003 The FF series is great. Tons of extra stuff and hidden quests to find. The dream of any hardcore gamer!

GoOB 0 Posted October 20, 2003 Oh... Forgot, MGS2 only took me fourteen hours the first time when I played on medium and didn't gather any significant ammount of dog-tags. Then I played it on Extreme and got all dog-tags wich took me about one week.... European extreme took me two weeks with fifty dog-tags... But I was only detected five times And fifteen-fourteen hours being extremly short, I have to disagree there. Mafia took me a weekend to finish (including Lucas Bertone stuff, and ca. ten or twelve hours of play / day) So that would make Mafia a short-medium length game. That would mean that only a few RPG's make it into the long games section. Games like Morrowind (80 hours of play time down so far, still not done with all the official stuff) and all the Final Fantasy games. The worst one took me three months to finish! I class MGS, and MGS2 as medium length games, a day or two days of play is quite good for a game. But then we have all the bonus stuff to hunt down, and Max Payne II will obviously have its life extended quite alot when the mission editor is released. Whoa that's alot of off-topic stuff to come to one point about the game at hand....

The dream sequences are still there yes.. but they're not as gay as in MP1.. actually they're quite fun and you can't really get lost or die in these. The best parts of this game must be the new engine and the sounds.
Mister 5 0 Posted October 20, 2003 I could finish MP1 in 3-4 hours, and it took me about 6 hours to get through MP2 the first time around. I hope OFP 2 has ragdoll deaths like this

GoOB 0 Posted October 20, 2003 I do have a life, it's not like I lock myself in a room for three months I like to take weekends off from my friends when I have a new game just to enjoy myself. The Final Fantasy example, I put in like two or three hours a day on it for three months. And my life, my life is full of other things... But sometimes I put those things aside to enjoy myself fifteen or fourteen hours on end

You do not consider totally new physics engine, plot and greatly improved graphics new? Boy, you must have hard time playing typical game sequels. Same physics engine was used in heaps of games before so I don't see it as something amazing, and you don't claim that plot is major improvement, anyone who ever tried writing anything can write same load of garbage in couple of days. And I didn't see any major improvement in the graphics department UT > UT2003 = improvement Half-Life > Half-Life 2 = improvement Max Payne > Max Payne 2 = Doom > Doom 2.... about as much improvement. I am not saying it is a bad game, it is stille xtremely fun to play, but calling it amazing....... The biggest pitfall of the game is not including any skirmish missions, how cool would it be to set up yourself in a lobby with random number of guards and random weapons, and just blast through it when you bored or something. 10 levels like that would've made the game way more enjoyable and lasting way longer.... But it is pretty much overpriced stand-alone addon, it is about as short and as similar as Spearhead expansion for MOH:AA, but costs full price.....
