MikkoFin 0 Posted July 30, 2003 And as you can see: We have our own Sanla artillery thigny. It has NOTHING to do with Jus's one. Jus's artillery is just a script when our artillery doesn't need any scripting, mission maker just puts artillery object and it works fine.

cam0flage 0 Posted July 30, 2003 Oops ... my mistake But hey, I'll get back at you by pointing your mistake: the MiGs do not have random numbers ... if you look close enough and compare the aircraft in the taxiway and one in the hangar on the right, you can easily notice that they are mirrored numbers of eachother. I can also confirm it, because I got the MiG on my hd :P
Spy17 1 Posted July 30, 2003 Anny chance that you replace this damn MGeast with one of your nice heavy east MG´s?? Would that be possible at all? (you surprised me with changing the original grenadier loadout) Great work anyway!
cam0flage 0 Posted July 30, 2003 You mean, like replacing the basic M2 East with NSV?
Spy17 1 Posted July 30, 2003 Quote[/b] ]You mean, like replacing the basic M2 East with NSV? Exactly! I always hoped BIS would change this in a patch! Since the demo the MGeast seemed like a placeholder to me... So FDF is my last hope to fix this.
cam0flage 0 Posted July 30, 2003 I don't think that's such a good idea, because in version 1.0, FDFMOD doesn't affect gameplay with normal east/west units except that the game has different settings for recoil etc. If you play the campaign, it will be just as if you would be using normal OFP/Res. I believe most of the users want to keep their OFP "untouched", and still be able to use the FDFMOD units / game settings. You can always choose the NSV from the Russian Federation Armor class, but I'm afraid it won't be replacing the old M2 east.
Spy17 1 Posted July 30, 2003 The FDFmod does not seem to leave the original campaign untouched: -the grenadier loadout is changed -the BMP´s are rezized -the machinegunners have the bipods foldet out maybe some more... I think all changes are welcome as long as the campaign is still playable and realism is added. I do not think that anyone would mind to loose the MGeast... Blake 0 Posted July 31, 2003 Of course FDF Mod will make OFP different - but without replacing original files. You can run your normal OFP with the FlashpointResistance.exe as usual and play with BIS default loadouts and settings. But playing 1985 or Red Hammer campaign with FDFmod.exe will make them more challenging and utilize FDFmod config changes, resized stuff, sounds etc.

You should note that these are only minor changes; no units are replaced with new ones. I'm sure that people are happy with BMPs that are in realistic proportions, and that the PKM bipod is deployed (and therefore more stabile when fired from a prone position). However, if we would replace the basic M2 east with the NSV, that would be forcing the end user to use our addons. I'm not even sure, is NSV still the basic heavy machine gun in the Russian army? About the campaign using FDF mod config - everyone should try it, makes it a lot more challenging, even if you are not interested in the mod and the Finnish units themselves. Mox 0 Posted July 31, 2003 Hi, I ran into a small problem using FDF combatdivers. It seems that when you host a coopgame on a non-ded. server and you play as a combatdiver while not being the host you still die in the water. At first we thought it to be cause you need to drop your rebreather when picking up a rpg or so but now it turns out that you also die when you've just spawned or so and go into the water (mask on and rebreather selected as weapon ofc.) Can anyone plz confirm this?... It works fine if youre the host but it would be very nice to be able to equip a entire team as divers..the units are superb!. cam0flage 0 Posted August 25, 2003 The Soviet-built BTR-60 series wheeled APC has served the Finnish Army faithfully over three decades. Despite their rather temperamental twin gasoline engines, cramped passenger conditions and cumbersome exit hatches the BTR-60PB is still in service in some of the Jaeger Brigades. Offering adequate punch with powerful 14.5mm KPVT and lighter 7.62mm PKT machineguns in a relatively cheap and mobile package it is widely regarded as a cheap, useful APC. The BTR-60PB concept has been widely copied around the world, culminating in the Sisu-XA family with some refinements answering to Finnish preferences. cam0flage 0 Posted August 25, 2003 There will also be a Russian version included in FDFMOD 1.1 ... but only God knows when it will be released ;) There are a lot of bugs to fix and things to add ...

Thats what the FDF.exe is for isnt it? In the next version are you planning on having it set up were dedicated servers wont crash if someone connects using the mod? Or at least make it were people using the fdf.exe can only connect to servers using the fdf.exe(if it is possible to do this? like resistance to cwc)

Are WE planning to do something about crashing? There isn't a lot WE could do about it. You've probably heard about OFP (beta at the moment) patch 1.92. This might also be reason why some people are experiencing sudden crashes to desktop with FDFMod. This bug seems not to affect single player or hosted servers. DOWNLOAD fixed PBO here. This PBO may also fix texture problems with some Voodoo cards. Any mission with BMP2 won't work on dedicated servers due to conflig in config.cpp. To fix this, delete s_o_fdf.pbo from finmod/addons directory on your dedicated server (or rather move that file so you've got backup). Clients do not have to delete that .pbo, it will still complain about "finnish_defence_forces" addon but otherwise missions will work just fine. edit: added bmp2 fix Only bad thing is finnish sissi troops camo in finland we don't use leaves (did I spell it right) etc.
