blackdog~ 0 Posted April 5, 2003 4 bugs found #1: Self explanatory #2: Name is backwards on face, the face needs to be mirrored like regular OFP soldier's faces... (because my name must be backward on my face.jpg to be the right way on regular soldiers) #3: What in the hell are these? Moccasins? (sp)* *Just kidding #4: When NVGoggles are put on, no NVGoggles appear on the soldier's very thick and ugly glasses.

munger 25 Posted April 5, 2003 LOL, they're not moccasins; they're boots. They're just half covered by the NBC suit leggings. Great work Suchey and Earl. Downloading now...
Cloney 0 Posted April 6, 2003 Freaken Awesome! One of the best infantry addons released to date. If these are of the same caliber as the MARPAR pack, we are in for a real treat. These guys also perform very nicely in combat. The textures are also great so I expect to see them in some desert fighting Screenies. The new M16A2 is also spectacular. It sounds great. Landwarrior87 0 Posted April 6, 2003 i was a little dissappointed theres only one unit in the editor, but the MARPAT Release will be good, cuz that m16a2 is kick ass.. makes us wonder about the A4 u guys been working on. good job. I just ask that you add chinstraps to your units.. Makes em look more "Real".
suchey 0 Posted April 6, 2003 Hey fellas...sorry about not posting earlier, but I just found this thread. Glad you guys like it so far...as for the glasses and night vision problems, they have both been solved (thanks to bigpoppa of the AEF-Campaign for posting the solution). I will be touching up a few areas and releasing the fixed file as beta3 in the near future. On a side note, I would certainly appreciate any information as to how the performance in game is. I kept face count almost at BIS default levels in order to keep performance high. If everything is running well, I may try to add some additional detail to the MARPAT Marines. The facecounts on these and the current MARPAT Marines is at an equal level, so they should run exactly the same as these do. Ill post in this thread when the next rev of this Marine is available and will also post at my site. Thanks again!
coporal_punishment 0 Posted April 6, 2003 I was just wondering weather these will be released with BAS or are you going solo. I suppoose what i'm trying to ask is how much BAS help are you getting
suchey 0 Posted April 6, 2003 We are un-related to BAS...although I am looking forward to their USMC Helecopters
CanadianTerror 0 Posted April 6, 2003 I thought this addon was just awesome! Very nice work! More of these guys!
miles teg 1 Posted April 6, 2003 Aside from the bugs others mentioned I think these Marines look incredible. They are EXACTLY what I was looking for. Now if only they had some Marine LAV's and AAV-7's in desert camo. The only thing I would recommend changing is their armor levels. I REALLY like how the BAS Delta/Ranger units have slightly increased armor levels to simulate their interceptor body armor. The addon looks like they're wearing this interceptor kevlar/ceramic plate vest. It would be nice if the armor levels of the units could be matched to those of the BAS units so that they can take one or two more shots to the chest without dying compared to normal troops. This is I think very realistic as in real life it really does give our troops a significant advantage over enemy soldiers such as the Iraqi Army and Afghan guerilla fighters. hellfish6 7 Posted April 6, 2003 I agree with Chris... I'd like to see the simulation of body armor in the future. And I'd like to see chin straps. I can't wait to see what else you guys are sending down the line towards us...
e.t. 0 Posted April 6, 2003 the disadvantage with the increased hit points is multiplayer reasons to keep east and west balanced. I'd like to see this addon soon in an MTCO map :hint :hint
Wright 0 Posted April 6, 2003 Excellent work guys, these units work great and don't lag me like the bas soldiers do. Now to figure out how to swap these in for the standard bis soldiers.
