Yes, CSLA II. MOD is total conversion.

It changes many original settings, replacing standard models, adding new and replacing old animations, .....adding new stuff, ....and many more.

I hope, that CSLA mod will not be like FDF mod.

I mean nothing offensive, I really admire FDF work on units and everything else, but FDF mod does not work on my graphic card. Its not that it is too slow, it is that certain elements are displayed wrongly, I have big empty blue squares in place of menu, another big square covers 90% of the screen when I use action menu, when I start some missions the screen remains black (but when I hit Esc everything is visible)...

Well, as the game has been written, it works on all computers within certain requirements, but FDF does not work on all computers wich run OFP.

All I may do is to selectively run the mod (loading only units, sometimes the missions).

Okay so what I want to ask CSLA mod is to remember not to use anything that may be "somewhere uncompatible" :]

But are you going to make a T-72M4CZ with working SKO Turms?rock.gif

You aren't using English version of OFP? That's known problem with FDFMOD's fonts.pbo. There are some ways to cure that. For more help I suggest you to mail fdfmod@mbnet.fi or visit FDFMOD forums.

And yes, CSLA mod will work with non-English versions too. I guess some of them are using Czech version? biggrin_o.gif

*bump* A slightly off-topic bit here.

Is there any chance that CSLA mod will share their PT-76 models and OT-62 models with the community? In other ways than releasing them in the pack? As a good BTR-50 model for Vietnam missions is needed, aswell as a nice PT-76 in NVA paint. Or will these be attempted by a CSLA mod member with a little time on his hands?

Again, this has probably been answered before but I got interested seeing that the MIG-15 will come in Czechoslovakian, Russian and NVA paintchemes smile_o.gif

EDIT: By the way, I was watching the news the other day about the possibility that the Czech republic will be replacing their old MIG-21's with JAS-39 Gripen aircraft. Perhaps someone who knows the CSLA and their needs can explain what the probability is that the Czech republic will buy these lovely aircraft? I would be very greatful smile_o.gif

Concerning usage of our models in other mods, generally it is possible, but it depends on conditions of agreement with other teams.

E.G. PT-76 will be seen in different cammo (for one big mod)than CSLA and russian naval infantry (as is present in the CSLA mod) - most probably.

Mainly it is matter of addon exchange....

MiG15 is planned in CSLA and russian paint schemes at the moment. I think it is not big proglem make it in NVA, but we do not have reason to do so.

Yes, Grippens are one of the possible options for Czech army. Second are used F/A-18 from US. Situation is unclear, not decided, political reasons will be important as well...but personally I would prefer new Grippens before used Hortnets for the same price (as was offered).

Wow, lovely work on those choppers! How many MI-8's (circa) are still used by the real Czech defense forces? And when would they be likely to be replaced?

Also I love those new Russian textures for it!

On a "totally" unrelated note:

Last summer I passed by what seemed to be a Czech military drill with T72's (one of wich ended up on the back of a truck) and a BMP. Also ALOT (by my standards) of infantry coming out of a forest. It was very impressive to see them in action.
