dreday 1 Posted May 20, 2005 Do RHS guys or anyone else know something about this helmet in this OFP2 screenshot? Specifically, what units are it used by, FSB, MVD, GRU? Is it only used by Spetsnaz units or is it possible to see it with regular units? I think it is called Titan-something and it is possible to attach a faceplate to it? It's called "Maska" and it is used by Russian Police and Interior Troops (both fall under MVD). Â It would either be used by the special police (OMON or OMSN/ex-SOBR) or by the special forces of the Interior Troops (Spetsnaz VV). Â It is not used by Russian Army at all. Like DreDay said, its not used by normal units like motorized inf and such. You cann see the normal ones and the ones with visor on the RHS SOBR beta for eaxample ( not as detailled as the BIS one but its the same helmet ). I hope the russian units on the latest screens by BIS arent planned as regular units but im sure they learned from mistaked made in OFP and these are the russian special forces. Cant wait to see the normal russian grunts for OFP2 or whatever the name will be.
AKM 0 Posted May 21, 2005 There are a few helmet types like that, most notably "Sphera" / "Sfere-a," however you want to spell it in English. Most of them can have some kind of ballistic faceplate attached. They're exclusively MVD SF issue, although Spetsnaz units could get their hands on them if they wanted them. There are a few helmet covers in camouflage patterns for these as well. AFAIK, none of them are called "Maska." The term "Maska" denotes a "Russian Balaclava," either single, two, or three-holed. Most commonly, we see three-hole camouflaged maskas.

Most commonly, we see three-hole camouflaged maskas. AKM, "Sphera" is an older helmet that is also used by MVD. "Maska" is the newer one. If you look at the latest RHS release - SOBR grenadier is wearing Sphera, while the rest of the SOBR fighters are wearing Maskas. Of course, since maska means "a mask" in Russian, this rerm could also be used to reffer to a balaclava, which after all is just a facial mask. This has nothing to do with a helmet though... AKM 0 Posted May 21, 2005 See, this is why the full designation is important. Damn. Not as bad as the Americans with the M-1 Helmet, M-1 Garand, M-1 Carbine, M-1 Tank, etc, but still pretty confusing. Further research explains this nicely. Spasibo.

BEAUDET 0 Posted June 1, 2005 Hi Great news... I hope you will give us information (Year of production...) about each version of the T-62!
CanadianTerror 0 Posted June 1, 2005 No version with a cup holder?
AKM 0 Posted June 1, 2005 Dunno. Kenji has done some work done on the interior as well, vodka bottles, APFSDS, ATGM, HEAT, bad Russian porn. All the classics. In the shot that Raedor posted, looks like the latest vehicle is on the viewer's right (T-62U "Morozov," a Ukrainian adaptation of the T-62) and the latest is on the viewers' left. T-62A somewheres down there. Soon, more from Kenji. Edit: - And here it is. T-62A T-62A/L Field-modified T-62A w/ ERA applique T-62M1 T-62M Tozhe: T-62M w/ Field Modifications. Note predetonation protection in the form of "bedsprings / fence applique." T-62MV T-62U / "Morozov." Edit No. 2: I forgot to mention that all T-62A models are from the 1960s. M/A modifications are from the mid 1980s. Happy now, Kenji?
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Is it normal to have feelings towards a T-62U? Nah I joke, but seriously some great stuff
AKM 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Quote[/b] ]Is it normal to have feelings towards a T-62U? We get that a lot down here at RHS. There's a support group, called "Tankist Anon" but it'll cost you.
DKM Jaguar 0 Posted June 2, 2005 Kinda looks like the lovechild of a T-80 and a T-62.. probably why it looks so damn cool.

2nd ranger 282 Posted June 30, 2005 I recently downloaded and am having fun with the infantry, weapons, crew and T-64 packs, but I am having some problems that I didn't see brought up in the original threads. I can use the addons fine, but when I first installed, I got this error upon starting up Flashpoint "T64Pack requires Addon T55Pack" Then after I installed the Crew, I got the error "RHS_Crew requires addon RHS_WeapPack" As the weapon pack itself was installed and is actually called 'RHS_Weap', I don't know why that error appeared. I have since solved the latter problem by installing what I assume was an earlier version of the weapon pack and naming it "RHS_WeapPack", however I still get the error about the T55Pack. As I said before, I can use the addons without a problem, I was just wondering about the errors. Thanks for any help
