You can just load the compatibility data. It's exactly the same files as if you enable the dlc regularly. It's just for trying it before buying + easier managing of server stuff.

thanks for the answer. that's great news! i don't want to run "western sahara" if the mission does not need it, so using it as server mod is the way to go then.

Is there a way to increase viewdistance in the coop-gamemode?
It seems to use the standard setting, which is quite low. I'm quite familiar with arma mission editing and scripting, but i assume that the scenario files are encrypted and can't be easily modified.
Is there some way to do it without using mods?

Suppressor compatibility:

It would be nice if the weapon "LMG_03_F" could use the short silencers in a future update.

Unfortunately, this weapon can currently only use the long standard silencers.

I noticed that any suppressor will still disappear on XMS SG when switched to shotgun in 3d person view. The Promet SG does not have this flaw, so it seems it is a XMS specific problem. I hope it can be fixed one day.

About King of the dunes mode,  is possible have a sample mission (in RV obviously)? (I love it because there isn't the cashier at the start) even the differences with the classical one. Thanks  in advance

Please make the intro skippable for the extraction scenario.

Holding space makes the "skip intro message" pop up but nothing happens.

Works fine for me, I use it all the time.

/Edit: It wants the action-key. Maybe you rebind your key settings? Try holding middle mouse button or whatever you reassigned it to.

Are the 58 mm AT Grenades for the IED UAV not detonating/arming for anyone else? I'm using a load of mods including RHS and ACE so maybe that might have something to do with it.

Yes, there is a bug with the fuse timer. You'll have to drop it from a bigger hight right now.

Hi. Shouldn't SLR Para be backpack-able? Even much longer SPAR-17 in vanilla game can be stored in the backpack.

bruh. dont understand whay they dont make it main game content like DLC coz i want play whif this jusy content on servers? but no u mast loud it and play whif ur self, coz literally 0% online servers when u can play and catch a player in intier world....

I have two questions about the desert module: 
1. Is it working for other desert/semi desert maps like Kujari? 
2. How to make the sandstorm effect stronger? I tried Alpha 1 = 0.5 and Alpha 2 = 0.5 is too weak, I want much lower visibility. 

 

Thanks for the excellent DLC, which is especially cool with all desert maps! :respekt:

1. it works in every terrain

2. it's not meant to simulate actual full sandstorm effects. You can toy with the alpha values and place multiple modules and sync them to game logic objects to make the effect stronger, but generally it might be better to use a different solution (some sandstorm script mod or custom script).

Hi, GPS mini map no longer display when you get into a boat or ground vehicle as a Driver, Commander or gunner. This happens across all CDLC and Vanilla game assets ?  ** Except Sog Prairie fire 

This is using the GPS or the NATO UAV Terminal in its slot.

Hi guys, 

 

After today update of RF and WS game freezes either at launch or while starting any mission on Mac. Disabling RF/WS removes this issue.

Yeah, bug got introduced with the WS update. Will be fixed with the next patch sometime next year.

Sadly the 2.18 update of the base game has not been released for Mac yet... I wasn't aware of that. The new WS and RF updates both are depending on 2.18 features, so currently some scripts are broken.

 

/Edit: I have just learned that it works with the 2.18 dev-branch:

A public Release Candidate branch for Mac 2.18 is now available. Use access code Arma3Update218MacRC for the 'beta' branch in Steam client. This build should be multiplayer-compatible with Windows, but please note that it has not yet completed our full QA testing, only smoke testing of the basics. The final release of 2.18 for Mac will still receive at least one more iteration (f.e. with yesterday's mini-update version and support for Expeditionary Forces Creator DLC).
