And this is so great that there are people like JerryHopper, who save the world))) But I have some problem with this app. In the list on the site I found many of "missing" addons that I have on my old HDD. But scanning says "0.0B". Here is what I did: 1) Collect some of missing addons in 1 directory (some of them were in folder, others in archives), 2) Execute: bidentify scan -d "path\to\that\directory" . What am I doing wrong? dalber24 152 Posted July 29, 2021 example: bidentify scan -d C:\Arma\addons but the thing is that bidentify, only does a search for files exactly as they were named in Armaholic, if you changed the name or for example if you simply changed lowercase for uppercase, it will no longer find it. Currently I didn't see that bidentify could find anything if the compressed file name is different. I have also tried to download some things from about 15 downloads that I tried only two worked. dalber24 152 Posted July 29, 2021 I think it does not check the content of the file because it never finds anything if the name is different or as I said before if you change lowercase to uppercase or vice versa. if the name is exactly the same as it had in armaholic, bidentify finds it otherwise not, at least every time I test it always happens that. a6bl4Hblu' 0 Posted July 30, 2021 I found bug or something like that. At the "Modules" tab for ArmA1 there is a single missing addon "PedagneMOD Italian Pack". Maybe some users have campaigns still on their HDD, and there have been so many for A2 + AO, less for A1 but still. I also have found some of my old ArmA2 stargate addons, they were never released on Armaholic though, only on the defunct stargateassautl.net forums. Some stuff happened.. like failing disks - some of my personal data got lost, bought a replacement... filled it up, and it failed after a week again. So the authentication system i was working on got delayed, and with that - also the custom upload functionality.... On top of this all, My laptop-screen decided to quit on me. which forced me to use a external monitor.... but after 2 days that died too - cause: my videocard got fried. And meanwhile i got a new job , so less time and no more daytime coding... but eventually more funds for hardware! So today i bought a new disk & laptop... and i guess i will be back on track in a few days. - so i can continue on the project. I have a login-system ready for the bidentify website, and the bidentify-client and node have the option to authenticate too! What's left is adding the functionality to upload 'new' data - and other functions so people can contribute to the system while keeping things in control due to the authentication. This weekend i hope to add some of the above stuff. And its great to see people like T.Johnson offering help with vault hosting, coz with the amount of crashing hardware - its vital that i finish the initial bidentify-vault code, and have at least 1 extra node running on a different internet-connection than mine. But since the project is split in 3 parts (website, client, node) i have to switch between each part and prioritize what i add/finish first. So, please bear with me - i almost replaced all of my old hardware, the future should be less 'buggy' *crosses fingers* - i promise there will be a update next week! @icewindo adding these categories will be possible when the authentification system is implemented. @a6bl4Hblu' i am aware of this. foffy 58 Posted November 30, 2021 Coming out of the internet coffin here to wish a project like this good luck. It was very unfortunate to learn Armaholic closed without any warning or plan to back up files. If there's a way I can help by sharing files, I'd be willing to do so. I was mostly a single player person, so I only have content on that end. Most notably content released around ArmA Rearmed, which I believe only had its most updated version released to Armaholic.
