I got this pic playign Operation Mercury (highly recommended, check out the user missions forum)

stealth.jpg

I was on a recon mission scoping out a noise we heard on the beach. I got on my belly and started crawling. A 3-man spez nats patrol approached to my left, just as I was on the very (VERY) edge of the concealment I was using. I was too scared to move, so i of course took a picture.

yes i know it's very dark, it was late at night and i play with the brightness up anyway. just turn yours up for a second to see it.

this is the closest i've ever been to an enemy unit that was facing me without it noticing me.

did i mention their skill was set to the highest setting (not super AI, just slider all the way to the right).

again it's from operation mercury in user missions, great campaign. hard, but fun.

I have to concur with Tigershark - I copied that picture into my graphics editor, jammed the brightness and gamma levels right up, and it was still almost impossible to make out details...

I used MS Photo Editor, upped just the gamma to 1.98.

There they are! 3 Spetsnaz right in front of his nose, all wearing NVGs.

I use photoshop but there is a program called iView 3.0 The program is for viewing images but you can do some basic stuff like adding gamma too

edit, oh and when you add alot of gamma the colors may mess up so try avoiding that.

For people that have only MSPaint and dont want to download one of the many trial version of the most known picture editor program , how about giving a look at GIMP

GIMP is totally free under GNU license and i heard that people seem happy with it

Can be interesting

Had to resize & sharpen it a few times to make out the details. Bad JPG compression.

And those of you who don't wanna get photoshop, get the Paint Shop Pro demo at jasc.com. You might be able to borrow someone elses copy though *cough*.
