Check out the soundtrack of "Forrest Gump", or "Good morning Vietnam". Then we got "FMJ" or "Platoon", "Apocalypse Now" and so on. Or what about "Operation Dumbo", featuring some great vietnam era tracks? Ah yeah, the Doors, James "king of soul" Brown, Rolling Stones, CRC, Aretha Franklin', Dusty Springfield, Duane Eddie, etc... Several stations will come up http://www.howlinoldies.com/ Is A good one   From Wolf Radio Derived From Howlin Wolf The seminal DJ of the 60s. A mix of rock and Motown. http://www.techwebsound.com/ For Pysychadelic Rock is well worth a visit. Lots of the longer album tracks. Also worth it for samples for doing your own dance mixes  To the list of songs add The Velvet Underground: I am waiting for my man Early 70s as well is in the vietnam era.
