Falklands mod progress

Recommended Posts

The SBS is somewhat the 'SAS at sea' or can be compared with the US Navy Seals.

Blasphemy! tounge_o.gif Personally the SBS symbolizes something far more "elite" than the SEALS do. That said, I am not really knowledgable when it comes to the SBS or the SEALS, but the SBS are British. Which makes them a bit more "cool", TBH smile_o.gif

Anyways lads, the units are looking great as allways. I can't wait to land the SBS silently in the night, to ambush unsuspecting Argies biggrin_o.gif

Please do not go there as I do not wish for a warning level or a ban.

The Bums & Boils in a Bone Dome. Fantastic. Maybe loose the pouches on the 58' belt?

Quote[/b] ]but was that sound moderated SMG (Sterling Patchett Mark 5 or L34A1) used by the british in the conflict? I know it was used by the Argentine Marines.

Yep....

your absolutely right of course. The British and Dutch SBS are (just a bit) more elite than the Navy Seals. It's just that the SBS doesn't want their name written on a movieposter that they are a bit unknown (thank god for that).

But to be fair to the SF community; it doesn't really matter who's more elite. They al train together and learn from eachother. And when the shit hits the fan they all know what to do. A bunch of brave men, that's who they are.

Thanks for the info on the sterling. I really didnt knwo it was used by the british. It's funny you know; both sides used the same weapons. This helped the british a lot, since they could use the ammo form the enemy.

"it doesn't really matter who's more elite."

So no need to talk about it then smile_o.gif

I hope we used the sterling as I remember training and fireing it. biggrin_o.gif It has been used in about 90 countries. It has a folding stock, a pistol grip and a large trigger guard to allow use with gloves. Very handy for tankies.

In case any news appears here about a Harrier FR7 please let me make you all aware that it is the property of the Falklands Mod, it is our FRS1 without permission being opened in ODOL and being shown as their work.. Sickening I know...

The same certain Royal Navy mod team http://www.rafrnmod.tk/ has even gone as far as to show pics of 'their' work on OFPEC, hell it might even appear here..

Please remember that the Harrier is Falklands, and was not used with permission. Hell permission was denied..

Well, I've decided I'll have to bin the model and either start afresh or not model it, the reason I won't admit it, is that I have not done what I have been accused of.

I hope as well once other addons are released that you will see we didn't steal this one

by tweak...

i hope he stands by this

Avon's link edited, you've been around long enough to know when you're breaking the rules rock.gif

People in certain situations it's hard not to want to make things public, but it's much better if the relevant people deal with things either privately or on their own website, airing dirty laundry in here is never a good idea and can only serve to tarnish this thread and the fine work the Falklands team have put in thus far smile_o.gif

haha, nice link Placebo (avon's one). YOu might as well have removed the entire post. It's all messed up now biggrin_o.gif

Just a question for the falklands;

I see you gave the argentine regular a flakvest. I hope you didn't put one on your british regulars (para's for example)? Flakvests were almost not used by british troops during the conflict.

I already thought so (hell, your british so you should indeed know more than I do as a Dutchman), but just making sure.

This mod is going to be great.

How about those bunkers you've posted a long time ago (sandbags with MG ect). Have they been updated are were they already finished. Those looked really awesome (with the 'not-in-use' static animation)
