jarrad96 1940 Posted January 8, 2017 Realised I forgot a release post for the SFF Vehicles/ Static weapons SFF Vehicles and Static Weapons Pack This pack contains all the SFF forces vehicles and static weapons, including- VehiclesBMP1 and BMP1-P The BMP went into production with the Soviet Army in 1966. It is an infantry fighting vehicle with troop transport capability and is armed with a 73mm cannon, with coaxial PKT 7.62 machinegun and roof-mounted AT missile. The BMP1-P has an improved missile on top. Weight- 13.2 tonnes Crew- 3 + 8 passengers Weaponry- 73 mm 2A28 Grom cannon, 9M14 Malyutka ATGM Speed- 65 km/h BMP2, BMP2 Command Variant, BMP2 Medical variant The BMP-2 is a different version of the BMP produced in the 1980's which has a new main armament- the 2A42 autocannon, which gives it better firepower against infantry and light targets compared to the BMP-1's light cannon, as well as improved turret elevation and depression. It has a Command and HQ variant, which has no main gun, only a mock-up barrel, and has additional radio equipment and longer range radios inside instead, and a unarmed medical version. Weight- 14.3 tonnes Crew- 3 + 7 passengers Weaponry-30 mm automatic cannon 2A42, 9M113 Konkurs ATGM Speed- 65 km/h T34-85 The T34-85 served the Soviet army through WW2, but as it became outdated it was sold en-mass to other nations, eventually ending up as a highly outdated, but still effective tank, for use by poor third world armies or militia and terrorist groups. Weight- 26.5 tonnes Crew- 4-5 Weaponry- 85 mm ZiS-S-53 gun Speed- 53 km/h T-55 The T-55 after it's adoption in 1947 became the main tank for armoured units of the Soviet Army, armies of the Warsaw Pact countries, and many others. T-54s and T-55s have been involved in many of the world's armed conflicts since the late 20th century, and is now the most produced tank in history. It was eventually replaced by the T62/T64 and T72, but is still in widespread use today. Weight- 36 tonnes Crew- 4 Weaponry- D-10T 100 mm rifled gun Speed- 48 km/h T-72 and T-72 with ERA heavy armor kit The T-72 was the most common tank used by the Warsaw Pact from the 1970s to the collapse of the Soviet Union in the 1980's/1990's. It was also exported to other countries, such as Finland, India, Iran, Iraq, Syria and Yugoslavia. It has superior armor and weaponry to the T-55 and T-64 it replaced, and in the 1980's a ERA heavy armor kit was developed to improve it's survivability in combat further. It has a commander's cupola mounted KORD heavy machinegun. Weight- 41.5 tonnes (44.5 tonnes with ERA heavy armor kit) Crew- 3 Weaponry- 125 mm 2A46M/2A46M-5 smoothbore gun, Cupola mounted KORD Speed- 60 km/h ZSU-23-4 'Shilka' The ZSU-23-4, nicknamed 'Shilka' is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun that has 4 23mm aint-aircraft autocannons linked together as it's main armament- it is very effective against infantry, light vehicles and slow or low flying aircraft or helicopters, but it's lack of AA missiles means it has a short effective range. It has been re-purposed as a highly effective anti-infantry vehicle for use in the Afghanistan mountains or in urban combat, which has given it a fearsome reputation. Weight- 19 tonnes Crew- 4 Weaponry- 4 × 23 mm 2A7 autocannons Speed- 50 km/h Weapons KORD, Dshkm, M2 50. Cal These weapons are all similar 12.7mm or higher anti-infantry or soft vehicle weapons. ASG-30 Grenade Machinegun, Mk19 GMG The AGS-30 and Mk19 are both grenade machineguns, devastatingly effective against light vehicles or infantry, but with low ammo capacity and inaccurate. TOW Missile, Metis AT Both of those are wire-guided dedicated Anti-tank weapons. Stinger AA missile, Strela 3 AA Missile Anti-Aircraft light missile launchers on a static mount. ZU-23 AA cannon This is the towed variant of the 23mm cannon from the 'Shilka'- is has the same devasting firepower but has only small 40 round belts and is not movable. Cheap, easy to operate and still effective, the ZU-23-2 is still used by the Russian Army and by more than 20 other armies. D-30 Soviet Howitzer, M119 American Howitzer. Credits for the upcoming 2 CMDO/ NZ SAS release. jarrad96 1940 Posted January 10, 2017 Um, yes and no- I know that SMA is making a F90 rifle, but all my 'contacts' said that while it was trialed by the 2nd Commando Regiment they still carry M4A1's instead. So no, the F88 and F90 will not be included as part of the factions weaponry because they were not actually adopted, only trialed, by the 2 CMDO-I've spoken to some of them in person myself about it (Early/mid 2015) and they all carried M4A1's. None of the 2nd Commando Regiment soldiers I met personally had the F90- Not saying they don't exist in Armory somewhere, but they were trial weapons, not adopted. On the positive side, the F90 is coming to SMA in the future, meaning that you will have them if you want them- I do have a faction coming that does use modern bullpup rifles though, watch this space. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

A Special Operations Forces Faction [SFF] that adds the Australian 2nd Commando Regiment and the New Zealand Special Air Service. The 2nd Commando are based on a 2015 Afghanistan deployment, while the NZ SAS are based on a 2011 mission to Kabul. Historical Info- The Australian 2nd Commando Regiment were formed in 2009, and are under the command of SOCOMD. Their most recent highly publicised operation during the Shah Wali Kot Offensive in June 2010 before Australia began to withdraw it's forces from the country in late 2013, but some Commandos and NZ SAS remain in the country. The Faction- The 2nd Commando Regiment have a similar role to the US 75th Rangers- to draw out and engage enemy forces supported by specialist elements like the NZ SAS. They are armed primarily with the M4A1 and CQBR Carbines, with the HK417 and M14 EBR, as well as the Minimi, in supporting roles. They wear Multicam uniforms and have Australian flag patches on their helmets and uniforms. Specialist Elements- The 2nd Commando Regiment often trains and deploys with the Special Air Service Regiment, so the New Zealand SAS are the recon and intelligence gathering element for the Commandos, and they are geared the same as a 2011 mission to to Benghazi, where they used CQBR's and Multicam uniforms, with OD helmets and plate carriers. They also carry USP-45 Tactical's as their primary sidearm. Supports- Both NZ SAS and 2 Commando are based on highly mobile fighting, using LSV's and ATV's for fast re-positioning and having access to a UH-60 Blackhawk and CH-47 Chinook for air transport. They have a Sniper/Spotter team if needed. Faction has full Editor, Zeus and ALiVE support (faction name 2C ) Also supports ACE3 Medical system. jarrad96 1940 Posted January 13, 2017 Some WIP work on the 1990's CAG (commonly known as 'Delta Force') faction (Circa 1992) Still very early on, this is more of a mock up/ looks test than the actual faction right now. On some of the Armaholic tags- -The 'Central African Rebels' are not 'fictional', but based on the Anti-Balaka movement from the real life nation of the Central African Republic in 2012. I just named them Central African Rebels for legibility reasons, as calling them 'Anti-Balaka' all the time gets annoying. -Both Hezbollah and African Rebels are tagged as 'independent' when they are OPFOR. -The 75th Rangers are tagged as 'Marine Raiders' for some reason. 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
