imho you probly cant alter the res on ifl because of the legal issues

 

Retextures are fine, remodels are not. There is actually quite a few retexture mods for IFA3 in general

Please use IFA3 terminology when talking about IF in arma3, IFL is IF game itself, lot of new people to this conversation would be lost as to what your referring too.

Its been IFA3, always been IFA3 and it makes no sense to label it any other way, i would also suggest being a fan, and long time supporter of the IF community that the mod FOW

just be made compatible with IFA3 not require it, i find that rather pointless unless the mod's aim is to expand IFA3.

Yep you're right, I took it for granted since we're in the A3 mod section and we're an A3 mod, sorry.

I still don't understand your point. Of course it will expand IFA3 in some ways (e.g. UK faction).

The requirement part will be mainly for terrains, so i guess we could even split them:

- pbos that require IFA3 (mainly terrains)

- pbos stand alone

But i think that play with units only in Altis won't be that interesting

We have plenty of map,what we lack is proper WWII content.Also Altis could be a perfect theatre for Crete or Sicily invasion,a good mission maker will wisely choose the proper locations avoiding futuristic ones.

I can make a good WWII themed mission in almost all terrains and you too Giallustio(i still remember with love the one you made on Clafghan) but sadly i can't make a panzergrenadier or a sherman tank and i suppose this is a limitation pretty common on A3 community.

So imho no need to postpone a release waiting for a proper setted map.Just give us our WWII toys to play with and hundreds arma players will be happy for the next 2 years

Hmm, chassis says Arisaka type 99 or Mauser G98 but safety suggests it's definitely the Mauser?

Or is it the carbine version of the 98?

it looks to be a mix the bolt is strait like the asoka but the back of the bolt looks to be the karbine action while the sights are the type 99

Actually, those sights confirm it's definitely a G98, although the cutouts in the body make me think it's a G98 B, which doesn't have that sight design

Looks like the typical WW1 Gewehr 98 to me, or am I missing something?  :huh:

Yeah, it's definitely meant to be a G98 but they don't have the little grooves cut out of the side of the chassis like that model does

Really nice stuff  :wub:  I hope that beside creating static weapon you’ll also care about proper ROF. Honestly I love Mg42 and Maxim from “CommonlyKnownGameâ€, but at rate of fire lower 3 times (when AI shoots) does not want me to play :confused_o:

Hello devs, i saw your IJA Bousyo-e tunics, looks nice so far. however i do have to point out something,

you missed the standard collar tabs, your tunic collars should look like this.

it should have the collar tabs on the flaps of right and left, and also, canteen should be a satched on to the left part of your body whilst the regular standard IJA bag should be satched onto the right part of your body.

 

there are various ways to use the collar tabs,

 

first you can hang it on your chest like a medal or a badge

also, your Tropical tunics or bousyo-e tunics should be colored white, like a dark shade-ish white and should not match the color of your pants

I also agree with the idea of making IFA3 compatible with FoW, because IFA3 has a couple of CONTENT that can be used for placeholder, for example, the shermans as a placeholder for new sherman models (if theres going to be any), or. the maps, just like mentioned before, the vehicles, and the props for mapping, makign WWII maps is difficult if you do NOT have the assets for it, and right now IFA3 has all those assets i am talking about, bunkers, trenches, houses you name it Eastern Front to the Western Front they got it all. for placeholders IFA3 makes a great mod to be played with other WWII mods, not to mention that IFA3 has some high quality accuracy, so heres an example, if FOW were to release an alpha, lets say it includes British factions and German faction, for placeholder we can use IFA3 Americans to play with whilst we wait for FOW's update, but for me, i am never playing WWII mods without some IFA3 content, i am definately playing FoW and IFA3 all mixed when its out, i think IFA3 should be compatible with FoW as it does have advantages towards the sections of placeholders. like mentioned FoW is a small team, so they can't get thigns done within short time. IFA3 has some contents that we can use to play with whilst we wait,  and if you guys have Converision issue regarding the IFA3 detected issue, please head over to Gunter's IronFront Chitchat. there are ways to solve your conversion issues, the community will help.

Problem, IF its other game. If you can play IFA3 you mus buy IF or haven IF lite. are any copyrights

This mod looks really, good and I'm coming to expect a lot from due to your progress, but I do have some questions. Due to the recent merging of hell in the Pacific, will you be focusing on both fronts of the war, Europe and the Pacific? And I'm assuming from what I saw we will have UK, US, GM, and IJ factions? And last question, only being asked because I haven't heard of any yet, are you guys going to be adding vehicles to every faction? Any way thanks, and good luck with development!
