T-65B X-wing starfighter TIE/LN starfighter - This is WIP with base color textures and many features are still not complete - Features: - Interactive cockpit - vertical takeoff - Afterburners - Custom sounds - Custom weapon sounds - Custom damage system - Canopy animation - Master arms "SAFETY" feature - User interface via Service Menu allowing paint scheme customization - Collision Lights and Formation Lights - GPS targeting system In the works: - Custom pilots - R2D2 droid (stand alone model to also be used outside of the X-wing) Notes: - This mod will be independent from any other mods - 18 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

sargken 286 Posted January 7, 2016 Why did they stop? Thanks guys. And Maczer is correct, we are making this decision purely because of the increasing risks associated with us using Disney's IP. I've long felt we are no threat to Disney but I recently learned of a Star Trek mod shutting down due to Paramount suing a related fan film. Granted this film had crowd funding and this no doubt played its part but their claim is of copyright infringement. I understand this will seem abrupt but I've gone back and forth on this issue a number of times. If it goes pear shaped and Disney suddenly feel we are in anyway affecting sales of Battlefront or any other product then we could be in big trouble. I no longer feel the risk are worth it. I love making this mod as do the rest of the team but at the end of the day we are not paid to do this, we do this for fun. And frankly getting sued is not fun! @wiki xwing was well on its way with working prototype in game. I'll post an incomplete wip featurette later if you like. They seem to think that Disney will all of a sudden have a issue with them creating a mod for the game. I don't see them having much of an issue with the mod but, at the same time I'm not the one at risk. I guess some cool things go. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Crielaard 435 Posted January 12, 2016 Looking forward for a flyable Xwing anf Tie. With Imperial assault stuff we can start making propper starwars missions! You guys may wat to use this for the Xwing cockpit: The targeting computer could easily be done. Both the trenchrun view and gun reticle. Making the 4 lasers a turret that can turn just a few degrees can help to make them track targets as they do in the movie and most games. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
