2017mod - full conversion mod

would you guys mind making a short showcase video of stuff like the crafting and base building? with mods of this size i sometimes feel it would be great to get a glimpse of the more indepth endgame stuff so you don't have to invest tens of hours just to see it in action.

 

i remember seeing an early version of your crafting system some time and it looked promising. i couldn't test it right now either way but i'd love to see how far you guys have come.

 

anyways, keep it up. sounds interesting.

We probably will be able soon. The whole basebuilding an crafting had an overhaul since we had Nerdmod from "ibuild" join the team a while back (crafting has an complete UI overhaul). He is doing an really awesome job in creating a basebuild system for 2017. Its still in early phase and we dont wanna show it till its in a more done state for several reasons, 

You kinda can expect something really cool and original.

It was in earlier screenshots... looks more like a paddle-raft with a bus for a cabin.

Correct, it's not amphibious. It's got a hull soldered to an ikarus bus, with an additional tube frame around it to hold empty and sealed barrels to provide stability.

 

Those big wooden wheels are connected to the rear axle of the bus, providing a makeshift propeller, all fueled by our woodgas engine system.

 

Steering is provided by a couple of small rudders soldered to the front wheels.

Been working a on a new vehicle, mini dumper with articulated steering and the wood gas system.

(sorry for the dark image, I'm bad at taking pictures)

There is currently around 12 vehicles (land, air and sea), 11 run off the wood gas system and 1 runs of solar power, we are also constantly adding new vehicles.

Update!

Uro almost finished his modular runway sections, we're starting to work on 2 airfields, finishing the naval base - Daringd will soon start working on the Old Town where the castle and general layout has been done already. Our "Countryside Specialist" JonseAO will keep on working on farms in the north-west area!

We're also starting to work on remote islands, like this one:

Meanwhile, work on new assets never stops. A huge (zeppelin-sized) hangar is being worked on, and many more structures.

As usual, we're also looking for an extra hand - coders and modellers especially. If you're interested in this project, drop us a line!
