bad benson 1733 Posted June 1, 2016 hm. i just compared the NVG effect i added to make lights more blinding with default and it doesn't seem to make much difference anymore. might be the visual update. i think i will redo the effects entirely and see what i can come up with. But using the H key to get into crates or vehicles positions seems to have stopped working. Don't know if anyone else has mentioned it. bad benson 1733 Posted June 3, 2016 i'm glad to hear someone actually uses the interaction features. not to toot my own horn here but i use that stuff all he time and couldn't live without it, pls elaborate on the problem. are you talkign about the seat UI too or "quic get in" a la bf3/4. i'm asking because i removed/deactivated the latter some time ago. but i'd be happy to bring it back in an updated form. vehicle seat I still works for me. i basically use EM constantly since idon't really play the game but usually work on mission code that i constantly test. so i end up using all the features a lot after all. long story short i need more details and repro info because on my end everything is fine. otherwise i can't do much about it. again, feel free to add me on steam. jgaz-uk 132 Posted June 4, 2016 I used to be able to; one context sensitive key to (was the H key when near enough to); --> open doors/hatches and perform any close by actions--> climb ladders--> access the gear of any object (vehicles, ammoboxes, etc.)--> get quickly into prioritized vehicle seats (temporarily disabled) Is it going to be enabled?--> vehicle seat menu--> access gear of group members (temporarily disabled) Cant seem to be able to do any of that at the moment since 1.6 update? bad benson 1733 Posted June 5, 2016 ye just so people who use the vehicle menu know. not sure if i mentioned it but you can get into seats now that are occupied by dead people. kinda forgot to do that and just noticed a week ago. i might make a new video that presents those features a little better. i feel like most people don't even know about them. i was also thinking about adding a very simple silent take down for when you were able sneak up behind a unit. just a simple one click thing. thought that would be cool when playing ravage sneaking around behind zombies' back. @Corporal_lib: yea the NVG might actually disappear from this mod eventhough it's optional. it all depends on, if i will be able to fidn a new effect that works well with the new lighting and added grain (at least i saw some grain in vanilla on dev build at some point). i wish i could play around with focus like you can in the splendid cam. problem with external cams is that you have to do additional UI scripting to reenable stuff like shooting. my vision would be an NVG with a very small peripheral area aroudn hte green one so you kind of see the edge. similar to the 3d scope concept i made. not sure how realistic that would be but could potentially look fancy as fuck with adjustable focus and shit. anyways. just thinking out loud. one would need to be able to manipulate the depth of field effect some how. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Bamse 223 Posted June 5, 2016 bad benson: I'm a huge fan of the NVG-effects and it runs pretty much like it always has on 1.60 for me (I never play on vanilla maps tho). Just last night we had an awesome small scale night time op on Al Rayak and even in the newly introduced pitch black night we had an amazing experience in in big parts thanks to your NVG effects. If you remove it from the mod, would it still be possible for me to keep the older babe_nvg.pbo loaded and somehow get the effect to load? To be very frank ...
