ArmA fan site logo

Recommended Posts

So I'm putting together a fansite related to ArmA modding, I'm not ready to show it off

yet because it's still in construction and I will not specify what the main website content

will be yet either. However, I am in the process of putting together a site logo and

would like some feedback on the fonts listed below, simply reply with 1,2,3,etc...

and any other comments would be appreciated, thanks.

Im not sure i like any of them, they all look like Dafont.com fonts but if i had to choose it would be 3, 7 or 9

probably 7 looking more like you design/build things.

Ok I'll use 7 as a placeholder for now but will try find some better suited fonts, thanks for the feedback

7

This feels like an attempt to advertise...

They look more like a 'Day Z' font to me, not really suited to Arma. [/iMO]

It does, doesn't it

My suggestions. Use Nr. 4.

You already have a lot going on in the image due to the detailing on the Arma logo. Since the most important part of the banner (if you are going to use it for advertising the site) is the website address, adding a clean and readable font is key. Plus it contrasts the Arma logo and grabs attention.

So its going to be a site for hosting mod/addons for the whole series or just A3 (or dayz) ?

Are you thinking of putting a forum on there ?

Font wise, my preference is keep it easy to read and straight forward. Armaholic has a nice easy to nav site with huge numbers of mod/addons hosted for download. Maybe follow that sort of route with a more gritty format if thats what your after. Heading looks a little dayz for me, maybe thats what you want.

Good luck with it anyway, I'll be following your progress..:)

"Hosting" is a key word for what I'm planning to do but I'm not looking to put up a news site, so no treading on armaholics toes ;)

Also ignore the site page for the moment it's not finnished :P

How about a 3D line of text that fades from wireframe to solid? Have some bricks or tiles etc. around the base like you are constructing something. Most logos reflect (in a basic way) what the content is about. :)

the style of #7 is nice, but the "O" and the "D" look so similar it can look like portmooz.com - mooz? is this a cow fan site? :P

I'd only like #3 more as the "O" and "D" are more distinct.
