trooper226 15 Posted March 11, 2015 Not every aircraft needs to have weapons just look at the UH60 Blackhawk. That is the role the Falcon takes on more than any other aircraft. Falcon = UH60 Pelican = Mi24 Hornet = Little Bird Or it can just be a forward mounted gun like how the AH-9 has, have it be a 30mm cannon that always faces straight forward or something along those lines. dragonblade117 10 Posted March 11, 2015 I have a class to attend, but when I get back, me and a friend are going to boot TEI and RHS to try and find the points where the mods disagree. Depending on how things go, we will be looking to see how to make them compatible without breaking anything. We also have a couple concept missions involving a small amout of UNSC forces assaulting/infiltrating a facility after being displaced by something(forerunner artifact maybe). There will be at least 2 versions, one for coop and one for pvp. I am wondering if anyone can tell me how insurrection does their "pick up intel, auto-mark a postion on the map" system. Wanted to have UNSC marines attack a compound trying to secure a "device" that can help them be relocated. They can then call in ODSTs to either support the compound or secure the device once a location is found. I saw that script for calling in ai, but I need the one for players being able to hotdrop themselves. Since that is already in the template mission, all I need is the insurgency script. For instance, with only the under side turret. With only the side machineguns. With both of them. Without any of them. Maybe there was even some with rockets or missiles, but for now there is nothing in the lore that can confirm that. I know for a fact it will use the M247 that you posted in the second picture (not the HMG verison in the third.As for the Falcon, it is extremely likely that it will not have a gun on it. It just wont be possible with how Arma works and really shouldn't. The pilot should not be manning the gun and piloting at the same time. We will definitely use that gun for the Pelican though. So the Falcon will probably be transport only with side mounted machine guns. For the Scorpion on the other hand... It also works with the warthog lol And yeah Trooper, that could do too, this way the pilot at least could do something else than just transporting, and would be able to make some damage to other vehicles while the side machineguns cover the infantry from other infantry. I think the turret could be fixed when flying (like the UH-60L Dap with fixed autocannons for example), but could also follow the head movement when in free mode, you know, that mode that allows you to control your head freely to check your surroundings, this way it could move and use the turret too while the falcon is quiet in the air (after all vanilla arma 3 gunships are connected to the helmet too, when the pilot switches to manual fire and moves his head the turret moves too). I think this should do the job, and you already have the falcon model with a turret on it and textured, it would be a shame if you deleted it. The other option would be to make the turret part half controllable and half UAV, so manual fire enabled - pilot controls the turret. Manual fire disabled - another one controls the turret like if it was an UAV, so for example a marine in the ground can take control of it. Of course side machineguns with their respective gunners are still needed. (like the UH-60 Blackhawk). thedog88 4 Posted March 12, 2015 no sadlt not. basically what you will get is a prop for now. something to have in the distance or what not. the frigate is going to be a very time intensive task that will be ironed out throughout a long period of time. however we made a lot of changes in regards to what we envisioned for it. before we wanted players to teleport between rooms. now we will include 3 or 4 floors to play around on, with halways and what not. as we progress we gain knowlegde of modding and limitations and we believe we can pull it off, just with time. just know that this thing will be amazing and you will stand in awe when you fly towards it in a pelican foe the first time :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
