distractor2004 14 Posted May 1, 2014 This mod is amazing! Love the ability to control the mech and weapons at the same time. Is it possible to add more AT and AA missiles than just 2 for each? I've been wondering for years, literally, if someone would be able to pull off some sort of 'mech beyond the simple district 9 one that's been shown a little. I've been trying to ascertain the viability of a battleTech/Mechwarrior mod but I'm still not sure if the engine could handle multiple weapon systems the way MW does it or if you could get each leg to respond to different terrain elevations like a human biped would. I would imagine that we would need to be able to use a custom vehicle rig, though a hacked together version of the tank one might work. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
kremator 1065 Posted May 1, 2014 I have found cases where the panzers (as they are based on a tank chassis) are unable to target eachother as the torso cannot twist further to engage. If the 'legs' (ie the tank chassis) were to turn towards a target, then the panzer would be able to engage. At the moment it is possible to have 2 enemy panzers side by side not shooting as it is out of their arc of fire (without turning) @nanobot - it would be cool to see these 100t monsters ingame. I would imagine them much taller than these panzers. I also cannot see why multiple weapon systems would be a problem. @BIS ... hmm perhaps THERE is an idea for a DLC ;) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Belbo 462 Posted May 1, 2014 The mod now works with Zeus, but somehow not with the "All Addons (even unofficial ones)"-option without adding it specifically to the mission via manage addons-module. That's a problem with quite a couple of unit-mods: They work when added manually, but not generally (although some do actually work that way). It'd be great if 1. this problem could be solved in a general way (eg. making the All Addons-option really work) and 2. this mod could be configured in way that it works like those mods that are properly added to Zeus interface via the All Addons-option. They have great, gritty, military atmosphere and Wanzers (<-thats how they are called "WANder panZER") are great example of Real Robot type. Besides they are great turn based strategies with great mech customization. outlaw3025 2 Posted May 1, 2014 Love the mod, I will however make a suggestion; I would like to see a toggle between walking and "skating" as it is if I am trying to escort a convoy the runaway acceleration makes it so that i have to come to a complete stop and start moving again, Otherwise i just flat out out pace everything else on the ground. If you press "Left Ctrl + W" once, your WAP can walk slowly all the way (about 15 ~ 30km/h). In addition to this , if you want WAPs of AI to walk slowly, you will set waypoint speed "Limited". If anything, I'd like to see some mechs themed towards the 2035 NATO era. Kind of like the MGS4 Gekko, sans the artificial biological stuff (kind of a militaristic, utilitarian, angular theme all across consistent with the other NATO vehicles.) Actually if you are familiar with Front Mission lore the Arma 3 setting is pretty much ideal for Wanzers. As for more NATO like wanzers: currently the only model we have is OCU built Kyojun. I think it would be best if OCU had Zenith while USN (ie. BLUFOR) had Frost. BTW: Check out , especially at 0:44 see how the arms and body is animated? I thought that the ACE team of U.S.N which is called "Hell's Wall" use RED Wander Panzers , for that reason, color of U.S.N is RED . I was talking about FM5, but now I looked at your models and BLUFOR wanzers have red eyes while REDFOR has blue, could you swap it around? Changelog:v1.04 - Removed sound of tread. - Removed commander seat (Necessary numbers of which AI can operate a WAP change three soldiers to two ones). - Add groups of WAP (NATO,CSAT,AAF). - Kyojyun(LC) can change AT missile to AA missile quickly. - Change "Color of BLFOR is Red , one of OFFOR is Blue" to "Color of BLFOR is Blue , one of OFFOR is Red".
