In the Shadow of Sanctions: The Big Oil Business with Russia (Monitor 11th September 2014)

Everyone talks about sanctions against russia, but parts of the "7 Sisters" are doing big business with Russia, even smaller companies. The reality about so called sanctions looks different again for Westeurope, we remember well the truth about sanctions against Iran.

Probably some did already hear about the "7 Sisters", if not check these links and the movie. Very interesting documentary:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Sisters_%28oil_companies%29

Anyway, Monitor a critical TV broadcast on the main channel was reporting the following a while ago......

On the 12th September 2014, the new sanctions against Russia did start. Especially energy companies like GazProm and Rosneft are the target.

--> "Europe should show strength against Russia in their politics - as quick as possible and efficient"

But behind such harsh words not much substance is left. In the meanwhile european governments blow in their horn with bloated cheeks, big Oil & Gas corporations create precedents. One deal after deal between Russia and corporations is going on without much hesitation, also some companies from Germany are into business.

All right ! Its a multi-billion business. Who cares anyway about the middle class !?

Who cares about smaller companies who suffer from the sanctions.

Shell, Exxon, BP, even Wintershell....energy multis are doing big business currently in Russia.

The companies who suffer the most in the West because of the sanctions is the: Middle Class.

Barrack Obama: A new decree allows not only sanctions agains individual persons, but also against individual key areas of Russia.

--> Big words. Only several days later France did sign a contract between the Energy giant TOTAL and russian LUKOIL. The contract is about gigantic shale oil ressources in west sibiria, an area of shale oil with around 2700 square miles in size.

--> One day later, the corporation BRITISH PETROL (BP) close a deal with the russian state owned company ROSFIT. Only the first phase of it is about $300 million.

Do you know who signs the contract ? --> Igor Sechin - which is one of the russians who are on the SANCTION LIST against russia. It is not allowed for him to travel inside the

USA, but at least he can do multi-billion deals with them.

In May this year, Exxon Mobile an US giant in the Oil & Gas sector did make a megadeal with russia. The contract is about oil drilling in the arctic sea.

---> The EU will sanction the needed special technology only months later, ..of course.

In other words: Sanctions against Russia remind on a Swiss Cheese with all the holes in it. When you want to fit through the holes, you need to be a huge company and not a small one.

Sigmar Gabriel (german Minister of Economic Affairs): It is hugely important that the sanctions meet those who are supporting the russian politics and the government. These are the Oligarchs which have their properties and bank accounts in cities of whole Europe.

--> But Gabriel offers such Oligarchs a big deal. An example is Michail Fridman from LetterOne. After all the energy corporations did sign contracts, the german company

RWE gets the permission from the Minister of Economic Affairs. The deal is about more Oil licences in Russia: volume around €5.1 billion (Euro).

Another mega deal within the hot phase of sanctions.

For any middle class company who is affected by the sanctions these stories sound of course incomprehensible, the big companies and Oil & Gas corporations are into huge multi-billion contracts wheras the middle class has to fight to be able to maintain jobs.

By the way, Russia did announce to counter with own sanctions against west europe. Who knows whom will benefit this or harm.

I think I will going to make a sandwich now with Swiss Cheese and many holes in it.........hope you had a laugh reading this all.

Here is the source text and a video about the TV report:

http://www.polskieradio.pl/5/3/Artykul/1239405,Ukraina-odgrodzi-sie-od-separatystow-granica-Kijow-oddaje-Donbas-

President Petro Poroshenko said that dominated by separatist regions will be separated by a special zone, which will be controlled by the Border Guard.
The President admitted that Ukraine suffered huge losses in the fighting in the east. - Now I can tell the hardware, which was located on the first line, was destroyed in 60-65 percent. There was nothing to defend with. Now it is - said Poroshenko.

The leader of the Ukrainian state also explained why he decided to give Donbass special powers. Poroshenko said that without the enactment of laws by the Supreme Council of the special status of Donbass and without the release of separatists from prosecution, his country could be accused of breaking the peace process.

- One of the scenarios that could be considered, if the Act had not been adopted, it could be dropping to Ukraine liability for breach of the peace process - stressed the President. - This would free the hands of those who hoped that the truce is broken, to accuse the Ukrainian party and deprive it of international support - said Poroshenko.

Poroshenko says that the only way out of the conflict in the east is its peace plan. According to him, the Donets Basin can not get with military force.

Well, at least you can be calmed a little when I tell you that the source is from a major reputeable state TV channel in Germany (ARD) which I linked to it. Since the facts are not so dense, Iam sure you will find other sources aswell, just dig for it . ;)

Nope, you brought nonsense here, you provide sources.

And hey, did you read that story on German newspapers? A guy calling himself Oxmox is a drug dealer. Sources are easy to find.

P.S. Really, guys, he just threw in some "half-truths" (he so fiery denounced previously) and you all fell for it?

In other news, the german weapons industry has threatened the government to leave Germany (naming France, Switzerland or USA as possible targets) since the Bundeswehr isnt buying anything and more and more exports are prohibited by the government.

of course oxmox, i wrote this weeks ago, Polish press said weeks ago about big corporations doing business with Moscow

big corporations are multiculti, multinational, they do not know word honor, nation , history etc. they only do for business ,

NWO is borderless profit cooperation,

no matter how many people are hurt by Russian imperialism or Islam terror, they keep selling and keep pushing stuff that multiculti is good (cause business than doesn't have borders)

if companies were national, led by patriots, we would be able to hit Russia with sanctions very strong , maybe guys from those corporations should have nationalized their business and it should belong to state/nation not to few guys who can move abroad and sell weapons and hightech to imperialists

always robber is better customer than robbed victim, cause robber has money stolen from victim, so every seller prefer mafia as client than poor honest man as client , big corporations are the evil of this planet responsible not also for slave-like job in Asia or Africa (where colonial era not ended but big corporations replaced European kings, but all looks like colony) , but also for keeping Putin strong , selling hightech to Islamic countries too (and those Islamic countries are supporting Islamic terrorists to "kill infidels"),

if Putin would attack Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia , they would sell sights to kill Baltic nations cause Russian army is rich and Lithuanian is not

If everything would be national, and one country's industry would be working only for its national market, sanctions would be simply impossible.

"Hey we would like to sanction you economically, but since we dont trade with you anyway because our's and your's industry are true patriots and only sell stuff in respective countries we will sanction you vocally so heed our harsh words: We are displeased with your actions, please stop at once."

its big corporations who cause poverty in some regions (cheap labor issues, destroy industry, than you have unemployed cheap labor from those people, than keep their banks and they are slaves with credits), its big corporations who cause many casualties in Africa (mining industry) it is big corporations who made Putin strong (hightech for Russian army) it is big corporations who cause suffer and slave-work of many Asians , crisis is also by corporations (banks) ,

our governments should from time to time show businesmen who is government , people vote for goverment, but corporations screw result of voting, so voted gov should punish corporations and will of voters should be on top (corporations many times screw local law or even dare to change governments which were voted democratically, it is visible in corporation-owned media )

in countries like my, big corporations are tax free for example, they have bilions of profits transfered abroad without tax, and than force high prices policy to tak credits in their banks - it is feudalistic and slave-like system,

and such corporations should be controlled somehow , to not sell weapons, which would turn against us , they should be punished somehow to force them to be loyal to all EU-countries interests, if members of EU are in danger (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia , Estonia, Finland) than those corporations should be forced to hit Russian imperialism , not to support Putin with hightech and oil money, if they were forced to act, than Putin could drink his oil and Russians would throw him away and replace by democrats if they felt sanctions (and to loose their imperialistic manner like third-reich in 30s with Zhyrinovsky (who deny right to independence of other countries) with over dozen percent support)

than having hightech advantage , our part of world would feel safe, and Putin would not be as self confident to intervene abroad,

That article does not contain a single fact, just opinions <=> it does not prove anything.

But the plan obviously was that nobody would check, and - lo and behold - nobody did.

This sounds pretty much like facts to me:

Aber nur wenige Tage später unterzeichnet Frankreichs Mineralölgigant Total einen Großvertrag mit Russlands Lukoil. Es geht um die Erschließung von riesigen Schieferölvorkommen in Westsibirien, 2.700 Quadratkilometer in der Tundra. Einen Tag danach schließt BP mit dem russischen Staatskonzern Rosneft einen Vertrag, es geht um ein riesiges Gasvorkommen im Ural.

if guys like Zhyrinovsky had more support plus Putin imperialism, if Russia would attack Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, than probably some big corporations would try to push away all anti-Russian governments , we have several internal enemies in EU - islamists/jihadists (immigrants who came here and try to turn our home into place which they emigrated/escaped from making hatred because of their irrational religious-led crazy ideas like setting up sharia in europe, which only make problem to other immigrants who wanted to escape from sharia and now sharia hunts them even here, natives start to be suspicious and afraid of newcomers) and big corporations (who as we see now even dare to threat German government) , both have only their own goals and they not identify with ground on which they live (both not want our common profit for our common good and wealth), so far EU doesn't deal with those 2 issues enough hard,

big corporations force cheap labor import, thus making locals unemployed and less rich (forcing them to take credits and pay credits whole life),

as result average Russian doesn't know what happens in Ukraine, votes for Putin or Zhyrinovsky and democratic parties in Russia are 1% , Russia is biggest country in the world, it cannot be led by imperialists who threat and bully neighbors , corporations doesn't give a shit about such problem, they support Putin with business and equip him, small neighboring countries say about it since ages (and some of us fought for independent for ages, Poland fought for 123 years, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia for > 200 years ) ,

in 30s, Stalin helped to arm Hitler (all those tanks, projects field tests)

now "German" industry done the same after 2008 (Georgian war shown weakness of Russian communication and positioning, when small Georgian army hit Russia and caused similar losses to muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch stronger enemy)

the irony is that Russian government is patriotic and cares about Russia, joke, irony, but "our" corporations do not care about us, but Putin cares about Russia, so "we" build those who are becoming threat to us,

now Ukrainian sources claim that ca 2000 Russians lost life in this war in Ukraine, cause they claim that it is not local population that fights, but Russian "tourists" , corporations equip country which sends armed "tourists" to other contries (and according to Poroshenko, Putin told him that he could attack other countries in 2 days if he wanted)

we not brainwashed, we value freedom and independence and living on our own more than "paryadok" which Russians know from Tsar by USSR and which they love in Putin , "poryadok" and freedom are opposite ,

we value different things, among them right to self decide of smaller , not "the stronger is always right" and we do not value people like Zhyrinovsky with dozen percent of votes and co-chairman position in parliament, such thugs in our countries have 1% not 12% , we do not support people who deny other countries right to existence

John Paul the 2, said that "measurement of your humanity is how you treat weaker and poor",

those who bully weaker are less human than those who are weaker according to Chrisitan philosophy which is base of our European values

Felix Dzerzhinsky name for the RF MIA division

Restored historical justice - so the matter comment on the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
How informed the radio station Echo of Moscow, the name was given at the request of veterans.

Name of the creator of the Soviet special services, mainly NKVD and KGB, disappeared from public life of Russia in the early 90th century. In August 1991 residents of Moscow knocked over statue of Dzerzhinsky, which was located in front of the KGB on Lubyanka. A few weeks ago, a replica of the monument again stood in front of the Federal Security Service - heir to the KGB.

Similar actions, called the restoration of historical justice, refer to the person of Joseph Stalin. It is possible that this year the city of Volgograd is restored its previous name - Stalingrad.

big corporations even are sending mercenaries to kill pro-environment activists in African or Asian states who stop mining business there, many African wars are because of corporations trying to re-colonize Africa ,

so they do not care about Putin "green man" tactics in Ukraine

Maybe they want to honor Poland with it, since his roots are polish.

I know that poland has in general a more anti-russian view, but better lets stay on the toppic about the Ukraine conflict.

Due to the infos I read about the conflict and geopolitics, russia seems more to be in a defensive position. Of course this is debateable.

I was kidding of course with "honoring Poland", but Felix Dzerzhinsky was a prominent member of russian but also polish revolution moments. He was in the Polish Revkom with the goal to establish a Polish Soviet Socialist Republic. The Polvrevkom was created by the "polish bureau" of Bolsheviks, his chairman was Julian Marchlewski born in Włocławek, Poland. Btw he did visit the same Gymnasium like Pilsudski. (wikipedia)

And no, I dont think that such criminals should be getting honored again.

As has been mentioned several times before, there is way too much flamebaiting/trolling going on in this thread, so repeat offenders will begin losing their posting privileges here. The other alternative would be to close this thread entirely, which is something I would like to avoid unless there is no other option.

Just FYI: accusing other people (especially whole nations of people) of being brainwashed definitely qualifies as flamebaiting and will not be tolerated here.

The first two lucky winners have just been chosen and will need to find a different venue for their antics.

Massive weapon losses of the government forces in the fights against speratists.

President Poroshenko acknowledged heavy losses of military gear of government forces in the 5 months fights against seperatists.

"Around 65% of the deployed military technology are destroyed" described Poroshenko the losses of heavy gear and tanks on the ukrainian TV yesterday.

In the video report the journalist is talking about that 2/3 of the military technology is lost.

(only parts of the report about the losses quickly translated; I could not find something in english in short time)
