NATO SF and Russian Spetsnaz WEAPONS for A3

Hey Massi, great mod, we use it in our servers.

We been playing around with the shotguns and noticed that they might be overpowered. They were able to take down h-barriers and buildings after going through 2-3 magazines. Although its enjoyable to spray a Saiga-12 to take down an enemy helo, I don't think that is the intended use :).

Is it possible that the classnames for the M240 and Mk48 in the PDF aren't correct? Those are the only guns where the provided classnames don't work for me. :confused:

Also, it seems that the classlist is missing the classnames for the Mk23 pistol and its variants.

Hey Massi! When people reload their weapon, everyone on the server can hear it. Meaning if someone is 10km away, everyone on the whole server can hear the reload :o

I've apparently already voted for that at some point in the past. The thing is, this issue was only introduced with the last update of Massi's weapons. It wasn't present in the first version. So that means something changed in the update.

Yep, you're right.

I believe Massi might have changed something or did JSRS create a sound file for the pack in his recent 2.1 ?

Or more likely 1.1 hotfix broke it :) lol

RH's mag loads have always been WMD's but the Massi ones were quiet before the changes

'bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons.launch_Rpgv7_f when i open units in the editor, any idea?

Edit:

When trying to place a RPG unit from the new SAA/Hezbollah mod in which it is dependent on this mod, i get: 'bin\config.bin/cfgmagazines.mas_pg7v

This is very likely a config problem with SAA/Hezbollah by Drongo69, although it might also be fixed in his latest version (released yesterday). You should post on his thread about it (after making sure you have the *latest* version): http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?172783-Syrian-Arab-Army-and-Hezbollah

EDIT: I see you already have posted there. It's likely that the "v" is in the wrong place in the config line.

Not dependent by weapons addon sorry, anyway those are the correct mag names : "mas_PG7V", "mas_OG7"

Will we be seeing some fixes for the launchers soon? Feels like they're zeroed at 80m, they're pretty useless as of now

Massi, you made an essential mod pack with your weapon packs! (And they are also well documented!)

I got one question, could you make a version, that does not contain the the scoped and supressed versions? Because you can already create this configurations in arma.

The bullet penetration of the handguns seems to be pretty far off, out of all of the handguns in the pack the glock 17 performed the best, I'm no expert but shouldn't higher calibre weapons penetrate better ?

There is quite a huge difference between the .45 guns ArmA provides and the ones in the pack.

Take a look at the config.cfg of the newest version of VAS. There you'll find instructions on how to remove certain weapons from the VA.

If you want to remove all of the different-attachement-versions from the VAS add this to line 89 in your config.sqf of VAS

(due to forum-thingys the formating of this box might be wrong. Make sure there are no spaces before and after commas in your config or line breaks in the middle of a clasname or it will delete everything from VAS)

Another thing though, massi, it seems that the reloading sounds of some weapons are incredibly loud and audible from 100m away like he would reload right next to you. Other than that it's an amazing addition to the game.

I am trying to create a custom loaout with LEA using the m107 but there are no 12.7x99mm magazines for the M107 appearing in LEA iv'e downloaded from its repository of this mod and iv'e added it myself by downloading this mod manually. The only 12.7mm mags are the 12.7x108mm ones for the RU Sniper. IF there is any way to fix this please help me. Thanks in advance.

Awesome mod! Question: Are the Benelli pellets supposed to be explosive? Because when I shoot them near myself at the ground (using JSRS) I get a deafening explosion and I get hurt as if a grenade went off next to me. :eek:

With all due respect, how would a sound mod affect the actual projectile behavior? It's not just the sound, the pellets themselves are acting as an explosion when they impact, doing splash damage.

Wouldn't effect the projectile behavior at all, for the sound part unless there was a sound tied to the actual flight of the bullet/pellet, then the splash or impact rather it has a sound itself in the vanilla game depending on what the pellet hit, so my guess is if the pellet impact sound may be getting an overwrite sound from JSRS as JSRS hasn't configured any sounds for a shotgun, idk best to ask Lordjarhead and explain your issue.

I use the shotgun from this pack on occasion and dont have any issues with it, of course I use a modified SOS.

hi massi , nice mod .

but i found issues with the zeroing of the hk m203 launcher.

if you set the zeroing to 300m and you shoot to a point that is 300m away the grenade won't hit the place.

also , are you planning to improve the visual/detail aspect of the weapons?

Well, I just did some testing with ONLY this mod enabled, and the same thing happened so it has nothing to do with JSRS. The explosion sound, yes (actually it might just be multiple shot sounds overlapping at a time), but if you shoot near yourself (5m or less radius) using Pellet shot, you will take splash damage and can easily kill yourself by shooting near your own feet. Slugs do not exhibit this behavior. I tried to get a video of it but I can't get Shadowplay working at the moment.

Maybe the pellets bounced off the ground? Have you tried using the bullet tracing script thing?

Haven't tried the script, but you can shoot at a 45-degree angle or so to the ground and still take damage...enough to kill you within 2-3 shots. I don't think physically they are going to bounce directly back at the player when fired at the ground in front of you 5m away. In that case there is a serious problem with projectile physics. :p

I think I got Shadowplay working so I will try to get a short video of what I am talking about.
