Version 0.3 Beta Release 12-17-2014

Add's models to Arma 3 depicting the MK18 Mod 1 and M4 Block 2 weapon system.

There are 20 variants containing different paint schemes, magazine types, and attachments.

Version 0.3 Changes:

- Fixed Zeroing

- Fixed Sound Issues (previously fixed by JCae2798's patch)

- Updated hand animations

- Added new sounds by LordJarhead

- Added KAC BUIS variant of MK18 and M4 Block 2

- Added M4 Block 2 variants with grenade launcher

- Added additional variants of MK18 and M4 Block 2

- Added optional configs for ADSG Joint Rails / Muzzles / Attachments

- Added support for Advanced Ballistics mod

Readme with Classnames & Credits/Thanks (Apologies to anyone we may have forgotten):

Installation
-----------

Put the files into a mod folder (Example @MK18Mod1)

Add it to your launch options in the Shortcut properties
ie; -mod=@MK18Mod1

Then find them ingame under;

Empty > Ammo > RHARD MK18 Supply Crate >

niiice, this looks great.

Almost afraid to ask, but this thing is so tacticool, can we also get a version with an AFG and thumb-over-bore grip even if the arm extends awkwardly in some poses then?

Looks awesome, short feedback!

- Tested in MP, works like a charme

- Model is stunning

- Sounds could be custom, I think Jarhead did some sounds for A3 already, maybe he's so nice and do some :)

- Dynamic muzzleflash would be nice

- Textures are awesome

Solid 9/10 :)

The possible issues I have with it and I feel like an asshole here but the following I believe seemed a little off.

- Recoil seems to be a bit much.

- The reload seems to be off a little.

- Custom sounds would be great.

other then that I believe its amazing.

Thank you! A great looking model there.

The only detail I do not like is the size of the ring of the back iron sight: it's too small really to be useful at short range. Any chance you can cut out a bigger whole?

So after messing around with it for a while, i haven't found much that hasn't already been pointed out, short version

Confg:

- Recoil is too damn high, the SDAR recoil seems to work well as it's another 5.56mm rifle ("recoil_auto_sdar")

- It's one of those things that just feels like it needs custom sounds, or any sound other than the MX.

- It would be nice if it was compatible with FHQ accessories (copy paste some class names into the cows slot and your done)

Anim:

- Reload animation is too fast for the magazine on the insert (release is fine, just less of a delay between mag out and in) and doesn't align (i assume it's just the default reload animation)

Model:

- Rear sight aperture is too small and rear sight needs more polys overall to smooth it out from the current octagon look it has, i'm sure you could find some polys to remove somewhere if it's already on the high end of the limit.

- Bore of the suppressor looks too large (though overall it looks good in length and width), it should only be around -8mm (the internal baffles get larger progressively in diameter but only by 2-3mm at the most)

- Some vertical variation of the brass ejection would be a nice touch for when firing on automatic.

- Brass also looks to eject too far back.

Over all though, nice models and textures, great work.

very cool man thanks a lot. One thing that bugs me is when a suppressor is being used the area around the play should not be light up with light (at night of course). The flash is removed like it should. Alos I love the idea of MBUIS but you cant see any thing with them. the sight apture it too small, For game use any way.

FHQ seems to work with it. Unless I'm going crazy - just tested it with FHQ and they worked on it.

That's currently a limitation of Arma 3: BIS need to enable some way of overwriting/modifying a weapon's default firelightintensity setting when a suppressor is attached, similar to how suppressors can be made to overwrite/modify the speed and hit values of ammunition fired from a weapon with a suppressor attached.

According to the ticket on the Feedback tracker, BIS have assigned someone the task of sorting it out.

Regarding feedback on the addon I'd agree with some of the other posters that the rear aperture on the BUIS could do with some more edges in the Pilot LOD (by my estimate BIS' A3 models tend to have ~32 sides on the cylinders making up their Pilot LOD sight apertures). Personally I don't mind the narrow aperture these have currently though.

There are also a couple of edges on the charging handle that could do with sharpening to fix some face-lighting/smoothing-group errors on this part of the mesh. I think it's the edge-loop formed by the slot cut into the back of the charging handle (where one would fit an extension to the handle), which needs a sharpened edge.

Overall the work done so far on these are beautiful though, particularly Sabre's work on textures: Think they're my favourite weapon addon for the A3 so far. The issues I outlined above don't detract from that ;)

Also, perhaps you could use the SDAR sounds as well?
