What is this?

Basically TR - Terminator Rising is planed to become a mod that brings the Terminator Universe to Arma 3. Play as a survivor or join other survivors to form the resistance. We will try to provide the tools to do so in an open world sandbox game mode.

T-100, T-600 or T800 will not be the only units that the player will face in this mod, along with Hunter Killer Aerials, Interceptors or Drones will be at the arsenal of Skynet. Even the mighty Goliath Tank will be chasing down any human life form.

Our dev team is slowly growing, but we are in need of people that could help us with the follwing:

*** Model / Unit creators: 3D - OXYGEN - Texturing - Scripting

**** texture specialists

** Weapons creators - 20th century weapons & gear + futuristic weapons

*** Object creators - buildings and other atmospheric items - destroyed ruins - destroyed City buildings

*Animation for individual/custom skeleton (Terminators require some revamped skeleton basis)

I'm so glad to see this coming up again! Looks superb already by now! Once I also was in contact with Marccom years ago to help him getting the T-800 head right in shape - unfortunately he ran into model problems. After a little while he wasn't ever seen again :(

Here a picture of the T-600 "Skinny" (WIP)

As I am still working on the details, such as weighting and texturing this is still a prototype. Cloth was used from mondkalbs tutorial soldier such as the boots aswell. The backpack shoulder straps are from Kiorys Alice Pack.

(hope you guys didnt mind using these as placeholders)

Joining links need lots of fixing, hope this will get solved by either using the mlods declarations, the memory positions or the weighting ...

Now this is one of the most strange, but interesting concepts I have ever seen integrated into Arma, very creative. This has plenty of potential my friend.

I hope you are planning to add a gigantic-amount of health for each of those bad-asses to promote player tactics and teamwork.

Now..it would seem appropriate a post apocalyptic environment (island) made from wrecks and debris and despair

(..now where did i put that?? /lookin'_for_mah_3DSmax..) :)

They are already hard to kill now, no worries. And yes a postapocalyptic island (best would be a totally destroyed city like a part of Los Angeles :) But I do not have the resources to that ...

Now..

If only a team of 3-4 people could cooperate together working on island and lots of needed models..there could be awesome results..soon.

If there will be offers from other modelers/island makers..i could lend a hand myself too (on objects/debris/etc..) :)

Even if you make some basic units (ground/air like those you presented..) ..it will work like a charm on any environment just setting via script

Although..(scenario expanded)..in such future machines would have taken over whole world (Imagine Terminators at Takistan lol)

I ll stay tuned :)

Yes I am looking to form a DEV team, I cant handle all the stuff alone. Read on top what I can supply my team with.

If you're looking for resistance units, you could use my post apocalyptic units addon:

I created them after watching Terminator Salvation so they're a good catch - they allready have the red armlets the resistance uses.

I have the mlods somewhere released but they're not the latest so I wouldn't use them. They'd have to ported to ArmA3 but it's not that much work. Just need to switch out the hands + head etc. Woud like to port some myself when I find the time so if it doesn't turn you could always do it when you're bored/done with the terminator units. :wink_o:

Np, yeah they're used in Dayz2017 and some other dayz variations. While some of those variations asked to include the units, some didn't and didn't bother to add in the full credits.

Don't give up on this mod, it is an amazing idea! I've missed all the Sci-Fi mods and such from the OFP era, and I would LOVE those mods reimagined in Arma 3. I will play the hell out of this mod when you release it. It will be highly anticipated by me ^_^

Its the perspective that makes him chubby legged ... and till testing ... long road till then ...

But I will look into this more closely ... thx

Unless we can't find someone to work with us in order to make a custom skeleton the unit itself will remain in this size. I wish I could simply make him larger as it supposed to be, but then the usual functions of the model do not work as it is out of scale.

Maybe at a later stage, with a custom skeleton we might be able to create a larger version.

I have the original mod for arma, if I remember rightly wasn’t the animation a problem, or am I thinking about something else :confused:.

Anyway this looks really good, I sort of collect these type of mod/addons and enjoy playing around in the editor with them.
