BAMSLAM 1857 Posted February 18, 2018 (edited) "Besieged" A Chernarussian contract security guard moments before opening fire on CHDZK gunmen in an oil refinery plant near the Chernogorsk industrial district. In summer 2013 the CHDZK carried out a brutal attack on a government run oil refinery, killing nearly 100 employees (workers, administration and security personnel) and causing millions of dollars in damage. A total of 20 gunmen took part in the attack and were able to sneak into the lightly guarded facility by dressing as workers. The siege lasted 3 hours and was ended when all gunmen were killed following a shootout with Chernarussian S.W.A.T. This was the worst terrorist attack in the country's history and prompted a massive counter-insurgency campaign in the country's north during the later months of 2013. _Krok 82 Posted February 18, 2018 Shortly before crossing the border into the north of Chernarus,.. ... a handful of recons from the 45th Detached Reconaissance Battalion of the VDV decided to pose ontop of their BTR-80 in the Black Mountains in fall 2009. Their squad was sadly reported Missing in Action a few days later. To this date the circumstances of their disappearance are unclear. In 2014 all but 5 were declared "Killed in Action". Spathi officer at a small campsite in the mountains of Altis Spathi solder lays down fire on FIA forces by the road during an ambush. Sniper-Spotter team- armed with the Chernorussian Cyrus and Bulldog 7.62 battle rifle. Recon forces bounding out of Oreokastro in pursuit of fleeing FIA insurgents. BAMSLAM 1857 Posted February 21, 2018 "Grishino Street Fights" CHDZK militants during a shootout with a fortified police station in Grishino held by CDF and Chernarus National Police. In December of 2013 during the height of the counter insurgency, a platoon of CHDZK moved in on the town of Grishino. The hope was to attack the local police station with an unexpected and overwhelming force followed by fortifying the town before the CDF could respond. This was the first large scale offensive since the Civil War in 2009 and the goal was to gain ground for a second larger offensive. Fortunately, a nearby garrison of CDF troops who had been on a training exercise arrived before the police station could fall. What followed was brutal street clashes that lasted for a week in where the CDF and CHDZK dug in to houses, alleys and basements. _Krok 82 Posted February 21, 2018 (edited) Two days before the bloodshed in Grishino... ....a Chernorussian patrol stumbles upon two Chedaki in the hills east of the village, not far from the black mountains. The insurgents were using the bad weather to their advantage and transported different types of ammunition, rockets and a RPG-18 to a hideout near Grishino. The CDF stated that the capture of the rocket launcher and the 5 PKM belts that were transported that day saved many lives and possibly saved Grishino from being taken over by the ChDKZ. It is believed that because the RPG-7 rockets which were fround inside of one of the insurgent's backpack never made it to their destination, a RPG-7 was rendered useless which would have otherwise been used in the assault on Grishino. The two were captured and Chernorussian explosive specialists destroyed their ammunition and armament together with the weapons that were left behind after the Grishino shootout of December 2013 near the Pobeda damn. direone 3697 Posted February 22, 2018 GETTING EL POZOLERO Colombia, 2017 a SEAL team is hunting an important member of a colombian drug cartel called El Pozolero, he take care of bodies left from the cartel and make them disappear. The intel found on a previous operation lead the team to a facility where the Pozoloero is supposed to operate. The HVT need to be captured in order to interogate him to gather more intels on the other members of the cartel. In advance sorry for the long post lol. The team arrive at the facility and ready to take out a guard that is at the entrance. Advancing to the building where the HVT is supposed to operate. The team split into 2 in order to reach two different entry point of the buildings. On the way to the entry point both team 1 and team 2 engage some hostiles. Team 1 ready to enter in the building. A sniper provide cover to team 1. Team 2 ready to enter. The team breached in the building and take down some more hostiles that is near El Pozolero. After all the hostiles where killed the team capture the HVT. The operation is a success and the team get El Pozolero alive. The team call in for extraction. On the way to the extraction point the team engage few more guards without losses. In the background is "Gora Masha" (Гора Маша), one of the Three Sisters, the only 2000+ meter high mountains of the Black Mountains range and the only one on the Chernarusian side of the border. The Russian forces recognized the startegic importance of Hill Veresnik due to it's elevated position, relatively minimal vegatation and clear view onto the southern lane of approach for aircraft to the North-Western airfield already early in the war: just a few days after fighting broke out, Russian high command sent around a dozen recons to take over hill Veresnik which was a full success. This hilltop served as a sniper hill, an AA position and as a tank fighting position at different times during the South Zagorian war of 2009. Heavy fighting over this hill errupted after the USMC landing in South Zagora. Russian forces dug in, but the hill soon fell under overwhelming force and constant shelling. Heavy casualties were reported on both sides after the takeover of Hill 339. Long after the war, in 2016, the Chernarussian Defense Forces (CDF) decided to construct a military base not more than 100 meters from this hill away. Crewmen and an engineer wait for repairs by the roadside after a minor collision. Minimi gunner in the Infantry- the Minimi is used as a squad level support weapon, with the HBAR IAR being used at the fireteam level. Anti-Tank soldier moving into position on a hilltop. Anti-Tank soldier overwatches the road for passing African armor. A Commando with his AUG-A3 at night- Night vision is in limited issue among infantry but is more common in the Commandos due to a higher budget. Press Expo by the MDF, showing off their new Hurons, recently purchased but not in use within the fledging MDF Air Force yet, as the current focus is on the Ground Forces.
