I am afraid 1.61 servers are inevitably crashing a lot because of MP code bugs. You should either go back to 1.60, or move forward to 1.62, both of which should be reasonably stable.

In multiplayer with insurgency I am getting killed by AI in spectator mode and also being killed when the player I'm trying to spawn on gets killed. Never seen this sort of thing before. Can I use the 1.62 patch with RC3 to solve the multiplayer woes?

addons: @CBA_A2;@CBA;@CBA_OA;@ACE;@ACEX;@JayArma2Lib_new;@ACRE;@ASR_AI;@ACEX_RU;@ACEX_USNavy;

Also SixUpdater installs beta that is same game version as RC3 - using the 2 together gives lag and FPS problems - make sure you are not using the 95099 beta with this.

@Pelham - you have to roll back to 1.60 before either applying the patch (1.62 RC1) or, AIUI, running the 1.62 beta 96168. Neither will work properly with any of the RC1 patches.

i think you are meaning 95168 not 96168?

Will the Pandur 8x8 be amphibious on the final release?

Almost chocked on my coffee when I drove it straight into the riverbed and had to bail out, those propulsion motors at the rear are useles if deosn't float.

Enjoying using the units for SecOps missions at the moment though.

So, what's the problem? It's realistic ;-)

(can't say if it is true or not - somewhere i read those Czech Pandurs are so heavy that they are basically unable to float :))

So why the propulsion motors at the rear then?

Just a quick update. The support guy at Idea Software told me the step by step to unistall Arma 2 completely and now everything is working again!

If anyone is interested I can repost the email he sent to me.

Might as well, for future searches. The more information you provide the community, the less stupid questions everyone has to ask!

They weren't stupid questions. Instead of just saying that there is no easy way to roll back a beta perhaps there could be instructions on how to uninstall the whole app if something goes wrong. Omitting such instructions is stupid.

Here's the email-

Hello,

first, delete both games (Arma 2 and Operation Arrowhead, if you have

CO which I assume you do) from Steam. Then go to this folder:

<steam folder>/Steamapps/common

there might be folders for arma 2 (and possibly arma 2 oa) left over

after uninstallation. If so, delete them.

Next, go to your Documents folder. There you should see these

subfolders (at least one of them, possibly two):

ArmA 2 Other Profiles

ArmA 2 OA Other Profiles

Delete them (note that this will wipe your saved games, if any, so

maybe back up those folders).

Last but not least please re-install Steam (just in case):

1. Go to Steam's installation folder.

2. Delete everything there except "steam.exe" and "steamapps" folder.

3. Run "steam.exe" - Steam will reinstall itself automatically.

After Steam re-installs itself, install both games again. Do not

install any mods or beta patches until you've confirmed that vanilla

Combined Operations runs without problems.
