scarecrow398 43 Posted October 24, 2012 Hey!I've just finished the campaign of MoH WF (which quality was under BF3 - and I didn't really enjoy BF3 campaign, something epic was missing) and I've just watched (again) Act of Valor: both things made me want your chopper much more, as it is used in Act of Valor and MoH WF. Damn it! mine crashes after the 4th cutscene :(
WikiLeaker 1 Posted October 24, 2012 (edited) (as shown in the video which was recreating the Chinook crash back in ~'05 during Operation Red Wing) [troll]Operation Red Wings*; and they all died, where as only three were killed in the MOH crash.[/troll] Anyway, what are the ammo boxes for? Are the aircrew too short to reach? Edited October 24, 2012 by WikiLeaker
astast 12 Posted October 24, 2012 last but not least: 160th use MH-47E or MH-47G? or both? They also used to fly the MH-47D

konyo 14 Posted October 24, 2012 I didn't mean it as a slight against your addon, so hopefully you didn't take it that way. I just think the quality of what you're doing (and Arma2 in general) is far better than CoD and its clones. Thanks for making toys for us to play with on your personal time. You're right, bullets went through in the video, but I think that was more for show/scripted. Later when you're behind the gun and guys shoot, you seem to be relatively protected (in game). Sorry, I know this is off-topic. I just enjoy a game like Arma 2 more than CoD and MoH and the like. Just my preference. No worries, I know you didn't mean it against the add on. I was just replying to your comment in general :D Anyway, what are the ammo boxes for? Are the aircrew too short to reach? The ammo boxes are in good use for a new feature ;)
scarecrow398 43 Posted October 24, 2012 The ammo boxes are in good use for a new feature ;) 2 ammo boxes, 2 M134's, walkable interrior.... I think i see where this is going....

WikiLeaker 1 Posted October 24, 2012 Maybe they're going to be usable as custom ammo boxes? For mission makers to fill with... whatever; or in like domination, you can load ammo boxes. Maybe they're a physical representation of those? Either way, they seem like a cool addition, for whatever they're used for. edit: or maybe I'm missing what Scarecrow is talking about. Do you have to load/unload the M134's from/to the ammo boxes?
MEU98 1 Posted October 24, 2012 Ahhh ok :) Fair do's.How difficult is it exactly? Here's another one for you all... Why would there be an Ammo Box below where the Gunners are? :confused_o: http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy222/konyo-napster4/MH-47E/th_BEAEF578-AC12-4D01-B6AD-B33EEED797E9-2943-000002CC95DEBE9F.jpg Well firstly you have to remove the fuel tanks that the kit gives you and install the ones that are used on the MH-47s and then there some gaps that you have to fill and some minor fitting problems. ---------- Post added at 15:13 ---------- Previous post was at 15:10 ---------- Or maybe the interior is going to be wlkable when flying we are going to be able to get weapons from the boxes and start shooting outsid from the ramp and the windows? What am I thinking? papanowel 120 Posted October 24, 2012 [/color]Or maybe the interior is going to be wlkable when flying we are going to be able to get weapons from the boxes and start shooting outsid from the ramp and the windows? It is not possible in arma 2. Try to walk inside a C130 when it's flying and moving, you will see :)

Try to walk inside a C130 when it's flying and moving, you will see :) It is possible you just need to add a land lod to the model, Konyo mentioned it on http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?133754-Boeing-SOAR-MH-47E&p=2242774&viewfull=1#post2242774

People who have been following may have noted i was planning to add something else in this release, but couldnt at the time of posting because i couldnt get hold of someone.. :o So it's not for Ammo storage, and it's where the gunners are..? Or maybe the interior is going to be wlkable when flying we are going to be able to get weapons from the boxes and start shooting outsid from the ramp and the windows? What am I thinking? (As Papanowel said, i dont know if that's possible when flying?) Although you can walk around inside while its hovering in the air dead still.
scarecrow398 43 Posted October 24, 2012 Yes, please explain :P I was thinking its either a weapons compartment for the gunner/crew chief's or a way to reload the M134's... somehow... ---------- Post added at 23:22 ---------- Previous post was at 23:19 ---------- It is not possible in arma 2. No, but that is a good idea but it's too close to it's release to change it now. Not to mention having to re-building the finished wreck models :p I like all the idea's you are all coming up with by the way :D Some very intresting things here...
