Greek Units & Vehicles MOD

Introduction:

As Greek units was missing from ArmA 2 addons I decided to give it a try. So I'm presenting you a small MOD based mainly on retexturing and config work, which adds Greek Units and Vehicles (air - wheeled - armored) into game.

Units:

Greek Tactical Infantry

Greek Misc Units

Greek Underwater Demolitions Squad

Greek Amphibian Squad (ZMAK)

Vehicles:

(Air)

Greek AH64D

Greek Army CH47F

Greek UH1H

Greek Airforce C-130H Hercules (original model by Rocket)

(Armored)

Greek BMP2 (in green and camo scheme)

Greek BMP3 (in green and camo scheme)

Greek MLRS

(Cars)

Greek HMMWV (Unarmed)

Greek HMMWV (M2)

Greek HMMWV (MK19)

Greek HMMWV (TOW)

Notes:

All addons included are ACE compatible and no extra MOD or addon is required.

The whole MOD can be found both at BLUFOR and Independent side, so its easy to all mission makers to use it according their needs.

The MOD will be found under "Greece" class, as I said, at both BLUFOR and Independent sides.

All units classnames refered into an included txt file.

Greek Tactical Infantry - Greek Underwater Demolitions Squad and Greek Amphibian Squad (ZMAK) units can be found also as groups in both BLUFOR and Independent sides.

All addons are signed and a server key is also included (HACv.bikey).

Known Issues:

So far no issues have been detected so feel free to let me know if something will be found.

Installation:

As the MOD is already using modfolder format, extract the contents of the rar file directly into your game root folder. Then add -mods=@Greek_Units to the command line of your executable file.

Mate I didn't realize that this download source need any other additional program ... me and my team we are downloading by this source without any additional file depentency so far.

Is there any possibility using some kind of download manager that might be responsible for that ? or maybe someone else here can inform us if this problem consists ...

Hmm, rather strange, I am getting different options available this time, must've been an extra ad with a downloader then or so, - all good now.

A small addon update adding some Greek ISAF units ..

... just for those they like to use them in desert terrains.

As always, these units are playable through Blufor and Independant side and of course they are coming to an installation modfolder format.

In order to be used they need the Greek Units addon as they add in the new units as also replacing another pbo in order to be available in both Blufor and Independant sides.

Aplion, when comparing it to pictures like this: http://www.nato.int/pictures/2004/040426/b040426w.jpg or http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/922/1805fh8.jpg I think the camo texture could be a bit lighter. The brown color parts looks ok, but the sand color might look better if you change it a bit from red to yellow and increase brightness by a small amount. Try to match it to a sandy piece of the ground texture, then it will have the same effect as in real life. Just a thought, don't take it as an offense. I know how difficult it is to hit the right colors.

Brainbug of course you are right ... basically I own such a uniform and I took a photo sample in order to make this addon. The major problem is that most of these uniforms have a slight color difference as they are not from same supplier. Also I've tried to make the colors a little lighter as you suggest, but it was my mistake probably that I used grey as base for that instead yellow or brown.

I'll make some rework on that soon.
