England 'Riots'

Recommended Posts

Totally agree i grew up in Holloway road in Islington, went to a grim school but got my grades graduated and ended up at Oxford Brookes Uni, however i know few guys out there now causing trouble as i've kept in touch with them, they had the same chances as myself and others and they choose to just piss it all down the drain and have ended up with criminal records and juve jail terms.

Because working hard is just that, hard.

These days everyone expects everything handed to them on a silver platter. Theres no sense of having to earn things, some people have somehow gained a sense of over-entitlement.

Things like these don't happen in good societies. Something is completely wrong. It's a result of bad life and bad economy.

But instead of vandalizing their own neighborhoods they should be marching towards the parliament, the tv and police stations. Unfortunately there is no organizing force that can take leadership and actually perform something progressive with the available and disgruntled masses.

And its all over the fact some bloke pulled a gun on a copper and shot at him so the police shot him dead.

Thats because this disgruntled mass isnt disgruntled, they're just bored kids who have seen that they can get away with smashing some shop windows and stealing some booze. You only have to listen to the two idiots in the BBC link posted by Jeza and Daniel. They're not disgrutled, they dont know WHY they're rioting. They're doing it because its fun, "yeah, its good isnt it".

The vast majority of these rioters wouldnt even know the first thing about the current political or economical situation beyond what they see on Jeremy Kyle in the morning...

The usual suspects in a new geography. I can't imagine how racist "Operation Trident" would be labeled in the US, you gotta do what you gotta do though.

The problem is that we don't have capitalism but something that could be described as reign of the markets.

AKA corporatism, and I agree. We need to go back to a real capitalist system in which big companies with political influence aren't simply bailed out when they mess up. As DM said, the incompetent businessmen who made bad bets and lost all of their money should take accountability for their actions and declare bankruptcy, not put the whole country in debt by taking "free" money from the government.

Whats funny is the media's new PC codeword for describing criminals and rioters of a certain persuasion as "Youths".

Have a listen (at the risk of losing a few IQ points).

If anyone wants to know who is doing this watch the video in the above link.

I spent my weekends working on the national census earlier this year and discovering there were streets and streets of people in the inner city with negligible IQs who lived in houses stinking of drugs was very depressing. I always thought it was a minority - no longer.

I knocked on a few thousand doors and discovered the main problem was that none of them were educated to a standard where they could read or understand the census form. I was so stunned the dog bites and occasional physical attack didn't bother me.

If these are the people wanting to start a revolution in the UK please give me some notice. I want to leave.

The combination of dumbing down of a populace (education messed with way too much), health and safety, political correctness, merging of the races (oh yeh that elephant in the room) called multiculturalism, we are entering a depression of which will be a collapse ... and the age old divide and rule technique.

Now we have people calling for martial law in the country, perfect, I bet those in the know are rubbing their hands with utter glee.

Everyone is being played like a fiddle on all fronts.

The media worship them and excuse their behaviour every day - that's the problem. They now feel they are above the law and able to do anything. It's only funny if you don't live near them!

That's just sad, I won't be surprised if the next one sounds like this:

It's like...umh....like....you know....like the rich....and....uh....the corporations...uhm....I had the chance to get a job as a store clerk...but...like...that's what the conservatives...or...uhm...who ever is like in control of OUR country...like...do..and like....pfff...corporations

I did.

- Yonge Street riot. the pizza shop I was trapped in during that was being guarded by the owners and his sons holding machetes for such an occasion. (Youths)

- Every single year at the closing of the Canadian National Exhibition (Youths). Carribana shootings, rapes, stabbings...etc (Youths again).

-Tuesday night cheap tickets at the theatre - Assaults. muggings, things being thrown at the screen (Youths)

I worked the Canadian National Exhibition and Center Island in Toronto during Caribana. The cops allowed us to pack pepper spray and sawed off hockey sticks for protection so long as they were 12" or under.

I live out west now. the thing out here is drugs.

In my city instead of getting junkies into treatment, they hand out free needles and heroine and now they're going to hand out free crack pipes and build "Safe" crack smoking rooms..

Can't smoke a cigarette and have a beer though.

Stop the planet. I want off.

Time to put some bored soldiers to work.

Slight oversight, we don't have enough soldiers!

Nice work Liam Fox & Co.

I believe, DMarkwick, the riots broke out when an aforementioned Chav a man named Mark, or something to that effect, fired at a police officer, missed, and the police officer returned fire and killed him. Then Mark's family called on everyone to riot. Funny thing is that they got bored quickly, backed off and then started to state that they do not condone what is going on now.

Edit: Yes, Mark Duggan. Though it would appear he is not a Chav.

Aha, but today the news in the UK say that although a gun was found, no one shot at any police officers (the shot in the radio of the policeman belonged to a police gun (ricochet?). Did the gun belong to the killed guy? did it really exist? was it put there by someone else to avoid the condemnation of the police? We all know what happened when the police killed that unarmed Brazilian carpenter in the past...

ANyways robing in shops and burning buildings do not have any justification, so the rioters do not have excuse, i think they just want free plama TVs, iPhones and sport goodies (who would assault a bloody foot locker otherwise ;). Many are just gangs of adolescents !! they need a good kick in the arse. If the police want to know who they are, they only have to catch all of those with new funky trainers or tracksuit trousers :)

The rioters aren't "common people" they are the sons and daughters of people who collect cheques paid for by the common people. and now they're are just carrying on the torch.

Just like Katrina. They aren't stealing food and simple clothing because their hungry and too poorly dressed to go to a job interview, they're taking Nike's, HDTV's and Ipods....

Hell, they're organizing this whole thing using Blackberries and other smart phones.

According to the news Mark Duggan's last Blackberry message was ‘Feds are following me’

Hi all

As I said the Romans experienced the same thing.

Corrupt politicians owned by corrupt bankers and a corrupt police force controled by a corrupt media leads to bonuses for the corrupt, these lessons; that corruption works, trickle down and you get a corrupt society.

If the bankers bonuses had been punished with a 90% windfall tax we would still have enough money to have enough police on the streets, if the corruption of the media politicians and police resulted in long jail terms, then people would respect the law too but if the politicians, journalists and police do not respect the law of the land then who would expect a chav to?

Kind Regards walker

Hi jblackrupert

How do you get to here:

Wow Walker, you should go to London and lead the rioters.

From here?

I am stating that corruption of those in power trickles down to those below, as it did in Rome.

jblackrupert if you want to accuse me of being pro riot why not just come out and say it?

Kind Regards walker

LOL. CNN just reported that the riots are a result of socialism.

People do get angry when they run out of other peoples money.

Not pro-rioter

Just making excuses for people to burn and loot.

Edit: The excuses seem to flow even more out of peoples mouths when "Youths" are involved.

Hi jblackrupert

An explanation is not an excuse.

An explanation is what allows you to deal in a solution.

To whit remove the examples that show corruption works by punishing them and putting them in jail for a long time.

Or you can just continue having riots and increasing crime rates and go on crying and screaming about it.

Kind Regards walker
