And few Poles in last year too, so what? You can't change that. And afaik, it was their own decision to join the army, and furthermore to go on a mission. Muslims do loose their family members too, and You probably have no problem joking about that, or something. Also, getting back to the national jokes analogy, when You say Poles are stealing stuff You do insult 98 % of very fair Polish people, it's similiar kind of thing, get what I mean?

Yeah, another shiny topmodel decorated hero-movie about war.

A war advertising movie like Top Gun, which was financed by the US Government, to find more low paid war-addicted kids to leave their skull for little money somewhere ...

If you don't do war advertising in your movie, you won't get the military equipment which is extremely expensive from the US to make your movie look good. So ... you cannot make a 'good' warfilm without following the wish of the military governmental (same in France now?) to advertise war to get more low paid soldiers ... human material to burn.

1st of all, he had very wise grandfather

2nd, many of us love technic (specially old, WW1, WW2, middleages), gaming, but hate dirty politicians and their dirty greed which makes people suffer because of wars, invasions

i hate wars, i don't like army today (after our army gone abroad), but i like gaming and military technic still , for me "army and war" should be in self defense, when attacked (but not attacking for raw materials, oil, colonies)

so also "army" is depriving of brain (blindly follow, not think, die if they want), psychopaths or because fat pig in expensive suit wants new palace and golden Maybach" (kings, the rich bosses of big companies, banksters, sultans, presidents, politicians, war lobby etc)

to follow orders is to not think and not value human life

army loves to use naive teenagers, cause they not have family, not have sense of human live, love, kids etc. (and naive enough to know that politicians are THE REAL enemies, not guy 5000 miles away, but own politician and own boss who want war because they will earn on it a lot of money)

divide gaming and "army like it was before when fought defending country against agression" with "army of country which is agressor" (WW2 and killing evil Nazis who built death camps)

i met many military in my life (from privates to generals) and a lot of them were dumb, not understanding irony, joke, they were like robots who follow strict orders "do this, bring this" etc. sometimes chat with them was hard, impossible to joke, cause guy takes all seriously

3rd, reading kids "i wanna see real war" i feel like being among psychopatic mad kids, who don't know what is real war and human life (and should be eliminated without giving them possibility to hurt anyone else) or they are so dumb too, that have no idea that behind all is politician or someone from Bilderberg club or IMF who has private jet, palace and helicopters and 10 beauty model girls to f**, but without war he will have only 5 Ferraris, not 10

if you wanna know who start war, look who gained (just like in criminal case)

compare people without big money who died to have money to pay for education and medical care (which was free in many countries before 1989) and with big money travelling on private yacht with 5 topless supermodels with old 60 y.o. fat guy

you will know why there are wars and naive teenagers are told about "prove you are real man, hate guy who lives 5000 miles away" (instead saying "die, cause i want new palace on coast but i have only 10 milions not 20" )

Yeah. Let us be that optimistic. Why not. Do we have any bad experiences with people mixing movies/games and real war? So, as long as we can definitively say: No! Then there is no problem.

It is only that I read a young man on this forum, a few weeks ago, who eagerly stated after a discussion of the fascinating machines and technical thingies you can experience in the game (and in war or warlike situations): Now I really want to go war! And it was written in earnest, i.e. seriously meant.

It made me thinking. It made me afraid whether people could really mix things up. But, right, this is only a danger. Normal people can get along with beer and alc available for little money everywhere, most are not harmed by ultra-brutal movies or extreme-perverse porn.

I think it is ok to sometimes give a hint that behind the "cops & robbers" game I consider my playing BIS games is - in the real world - a sad and unbelievable reality where noone wins. At least noone who is a normal soldier. Canon fodder. To protect the wealth of the wealthy, the comfort of the numb ones.

Having this in mind I can enjoy my realitylike cops and robbers again.

I felt well in this regard with the old Operation Flashpoint Crisis game who introduced itself with some deep thoughts about the reality of war whenever you started the game.
