I played it, didn't notice anything new. Does anyone know what it did?

So no new content or some major change?

I don't really see the point in this. The new name seems pretty lame too.

Some people,like STGN,have reported an improvement in performance,generally.

I haven't noticed any myself.There are bugs however.Especially in relation to

animations.But apparently that's being worked on at the moment.

Just think of it as a fully BIS title now.With the name change and presumable

recompile,it should squash any legal wrangling.It's the same title in essence,

but with no ties to anyone but BI.

I'm open to correction on any of that,of course. :)

Last night I installed OFP/Res v1.96, for reasons unclear to me. Just fancied playing OFP for some reason. Probably all the 10 year anniversary stuff.

Today, I find that there's a 1.99 patch released this morning.

I mean, what are the odds? :)

Launch of ArmA: Cold War Assault is great. For me, it's good chance to remind good old times and one great game. But, when I found CD key of my old OFP Platinum copy and installed the game, I saw the game doesn't contain czech language. Original campaign and separate missions are all right, but Resistance expansion without CZ language? It's also good, but Resistance is much better with original czech voices

I made a re-release of my best ever OFP effort, a CTI + DAC hybrid MP mission, set on the island of Novajev, surely the best ever user-made OFP island.

All necessary files are included in the download link on that thread. It is a magnificent mission, even if I do say so myself :D

(I can say that because I only put it together, I didn't do any of the tough work ;)

Kudos for BI to update an old title like this. They could have easily just did a patch that renamed the game to get it away from the Operation Flashpoint name *cough* *COUGH*. I am looking forward to Santuary retooling WW4 and GRAA 3.0 to the new patch if possible. Not sure it would make a difference. I am moving the mods to the Bohemia folder to see... will update. Thanks again.

There is a little problem with instant and animationless rpg reloading on 1.99+fix.

if You look into bin\stringtable.csv You can see

"LANGUAGE","English","French","Italian","Spanish","German","Czech"

so inside

ColdWarAssault.cfg

change

Language="English";

to

Language="Czech";

voila enjoy in Czech

I just installed the new patch and realised that it's effectively giving out Arma CWA and Resistance for free (if you have the right CD key of course), which almost makes it a standalone installation. However, what I haven't figured out is how I integrate it with my disk copy of the GOTY edition (the Red Hammer content in particular). Anyone figured this out yet?

PS: It's one of those "That's Hot" Australian (afaik) budget boxes with 2 games in it.

Those are the two files you need to get Red Hammer content in CWA. I put them in a mod folder called @RedHammer and ran it as a mod for CWA. Works perfectly.
