It would be interesting to know from Devs, if RV4 will take advantage of more than 4 cores!!

I would go as far and ask if RV4 would take advantage of the virtual cores as well, not just the so called "real cores"...

Noticed the custom helmets, will a normal helmet also be available?

That would indeed be very interesting to know. (I think a lot of people have a quadcore with virtual Threads instead of a real hexacore)

What do you mean by "normal"? :)

I guess the "NATO combat helmet" is the standart for BLUFOR and OPFOR is using a helmet equipped with a HUD system

I just hope that those few helmets they showed there aren't the only helmets available. Cuz I want to see some OPSCORE FAST helmets as well.

EDIT: I guess that's what the Spec Ops helmet is, but I want to see ear protection/com system on that helmet. I don't want to see my ears.

But PASGT helmets would have been long phased out by 2035. It'd at least be this, which is basically what the first helmet is:

Please do not quote images!

Don't know the exact helmet types, just as long as it's a plain helmet it would be fine. :)

I like the characters not to have all that complicated stuff on them when they don't need it.

All that stuff is there for a reason.

They can manage fine without it today, why wouldn't they in the future?

I just asked if a plain helmet would still be available.

I would prefer it being so.

They manage today because they don´t have the tech yet. Once they´ve had it once, they´ll want to continue to use it (for example, Land Warrior as it was tested in the field by the US Army).

My half cent.

I speak on my behalf, and I'm not a full time player, only have the game (ArmA2 and all extentions) I rarely play more than a few hours on a few days in the week after school. I play PvP or sometimes cti, never the coop or SP missions. (And yes, I know how the game works, without playing the whole campaign)

And imo, those servers are just way more nice if you don't overact on gear. (a weapon, ammo, radio, map, bino, perhaps AT and nv)

Also, in the future why would all that gear be replaced by hightech stuff? (to take the discussion to the timewindow of ArmA3)

Over the past decade imo it's proven that the high-tech approach to war makes you winn a fight, but not a war. Soldiers who look like half robots and UAV's haven't won the hearts of the people in Afghanistan/Pakistan.

And would we still have the money for those developments?

Also the atmosphere in Arma2 was spot on, I really felt at home, while the more advanced extension Arrowhead was a bit emotionless, because of the environment, but also because of the more advanced gear and interface, I hope they'll do it better in ArmA3. :)

Wrong thread son, this should probably be in the wishlist thread or similar.

With regard to helmets, I'd like to see the option of NOT wearing one. Ever tried to identify someone when they are all facing away from you when they are all dressed the same? :) When I play MP, I prefer characters that are wearing hats or look a bit different that the rest.

Also, look how long WW2 helmets stayed in service.

I think you will be able to :)

It was said you can choose between different headgear, offering you different amounts of protection. So i guess if you prefer to wear a balaclava or something like that, it should be possible (If there is an option to configurate your soldier for MP aswell)

Here is another interesting thing:

Doesn't the guy here on the left have a side-handle baton around his hip?

Oh Pure... you just opened pandoras box :D

But yes, he does  The militias need it so they can crack down on refuges :(
