metalcraze 290 Posted May 3, 2011 Hope the animation with holding rocket launcher while running to the right is fixed too. In 1.59 you were running to the right two times faster than forward. And hope you'll release a new beta for OA soon too.
maddogx 13 Posted May 3, 2011 80665 is over 1000 builds higher than the last beta (79600). I wonder what that's all about. :)

HitmanFF 6 Posted May 3, 2011 I get: even though: (version 1.09.78183) Anyone else not able to install? Do you have an older beta version still installed possibly? You'll need to remove that before installing the new beta.
armapaddy 10 Posted May 3, 2011 Ah yes, that did it - thanks. Been a while since I installed a beta.

puzzola 10 Posted May 4, 2011 Does this beta include all changes from 1.05 realease? If I try this can I see the changes and improvement up to 1.09? Was the tank recoil and dust cloud restored?

puzzola 10 Posted May 4, 2011 You will need to have 1.09 installed in order to use this beta. Ok, I saw now they changed the specs in the Armaholic site. What can you tell me about the tank question? I tried 1.07 and 1.08 but performance decreased a bit so I reinstalled 1.05. I spent month to set ArmA2 well and saw no real improvement with newer patches. Something important I'm missing? I have an E6400 dual core 2,14 overclocked to 2,25 GPU Ati Radeon HD5670 1 gig DDR5 Xp pro 32 bit, 4 gig ram DDR3, Pbos on a dedicated HDD sorted by full path. The bottleneck is the CPU but I can play all maxed 1280x1024 (render 1600x1280) AA medium AF medium. Wiew distance 2600. FPS 20 for the most. I have Seven too and the grafic is a little better but with less FPS

puzzola 10 Posted May 4, 2011 there is huge amount of fixes including in data of 1.09 so staying on 1.05 is mostly suicidal ... I see, but my rig does not agree. I like the game very much but for month I had to spent time to set it and now I'm scared to unbalance it. Any suggestion about XP 32 bit or Seven 64 bit? If you don't mind, can please highlight some improvement about FPS or grafic since 1.05. Thank you very much :) ---------- Post added at 06:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:47 PM ---------- Another question: Can I play MP with someone with different version? I.e 1.05 with 1.09? LeadCommando65 10 Posted May 4, 2011 The bottleneck is the CPU but I can play all maxed 1280x1024 (render 1600x1280) AA medium AF medium. Wiew distance 2600. FPS 20 for the most. 20 FPS  ? I couldnt play like that... If you reduce some settings A2 will still look great (or even the same as on maxed settings if you dont compare every pixel) and you will have a better performance. Just my opinion.... If you don't mind, can please highlight some improvement about FPS or grafic since 1.05. I experienced Arma as a game thats very dependent on the individual system setup you use when it comes to FPS improvements. But I think (and noticed at least for myself) that performance increased with every patch and is currently much better than earlier versions. Additionally every patch contains a huge amount of fixes you should definitely not miss.

I have Seven too and the grafic is a little better but with less FPS Turn off AA altogether if you are gonna use a 3d resolution that far ahead of your screen resolution. It'll save you some fps there. As suggested, you should try lowering some settings. I have a gtx580 and depending on the map and clutter, even I'll turn down some settings I've had turned up for the sake of vanity and prettiness in the game. Also the additional slowdown from the newer patch is probably caused by the new function added in the latest patches that's activated by the AA settings that is supposed to improve the look of vegetation, however it comes at a price of performance. It's called AToC and you cannot change it in game, but you can change it in the cfg file found in your ArmA2 folder under Documents or My Documents. Changing it's value to 0 will turn it off. Changing it's value to 0 will turn it off. Correct me if I'm wrong....but that's not right. This thread was about Arma 2 ...not Arma 2OA. There's no AToC in the ArmA2.cfg as far as I can see. There's simply too much confusion between the different versions and people not being specific. Not everyone has or chooses to use OA! It just all leads to much confusion. puzzola 10 Posted May 4, 2011 Thank you all. And yes, I use Arma2 standalone for the same reasons listed in my previus post. Nothing about tank recoil and dust? I saw that in the dedicated post the argument is incomplete. Bye

rscarrab 10 Posted May 7, 2011 Any chance OF A FIX for the Mi-24v/p?? It has no low-res texture and looks like a cardboard box from a distance. Kills immersion when viewed in Chernarus. Have to use a taki Mi-24, which doesnt fit the terrain. I can deal with everything else, but this is just unnaceptable. Theres no excuse for it. Please sort this out! Or must one spend time writing a ticket for this too?
