armapaddy 10 Posted May 4, 2011 YEP... nothing on the back, nothing in/out the box... Did you put it under UV light to check for hidden messages? Did you check for fingerprints? We could be missing some vital informations!
UnuldorCZ 10 Posted May 4, 2011 what would happen if some poor sap ran across that map, with no knowledge that it is about a game? dont worry, i hid it very well ;)

-martin- 10 Posted May 4, 2011 I would like to see the look on the guys face who finds this map in a couple of years, doesn't know what it is and then finds out its a plan for the invasion of Europe Maybe after 1000 years someone will find this map and think it really happened. Nah I'm going too far now
stupidwhitekid75 11 Posted May 4, 2011 and Diamond shape symbol would be the enemy, right? Correct.
Black² 10 Posted May 4, 2011 Maybe after 1000 years someone will find this map and think it really happened. Nah I'm going too far now but by then the BI secret service would already have covered this up, like area51, the burmuda triangle and bigfoot dawg.
SliceySlice 10 Posted May 4, 2011 What about, if this map doesn't show attack plans but a retreating plan?

shay_gman 272 Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) It's feels likes something bigger then a new campaign. There will bs surely Persian (No Iranian, probably some new republic in Iran) in it as BIS dosen't make politics with gaming so no Iranians, watch the date 07/06/02, It's post 9/11, USA is in Afghanistan the middle east is on the spot again. It's logical that Iran will invade Europe through Turkey as they have a shared border and they do get closer to each other. The only land invasionis is from Turkey the rest in naval invasion. So I put my money on some new ships or even underwater development. It is big maybe even too big to be a campighn, might even be ArmA 3. But it dosen't feel like it to me. Not yet. Daniel 0 Posted May 4, 2011 What about, if this map doesn't show attack plans but a retreating plan? Depends who the enemy is! If it is Cold War / WW3 themed, it could be a counter-attack to a Russian/Soviet invasion of Europe, or an attack in itself. But if it's another enemy, say China or an as yet unmentioned foe, it could well be a retreat towards Europe. Though it looks to me more like some response or counter-attack. What do the black lines with crosses represent? Defensive lines?
hellfish6 7 Posted May 4, 2011 It's logical that Iran will invade Europe through Turkey as they have a shared border and they do get close to each other. Yeah. Logical. :j:
SliceySlice 10 Posted May 4, 2011 Just a quick guess... i'm no bis-agent, just didn't post here before but this thread is just awesome. Most of the italian/ french islands hold naval or air bases. Would make sense for Iceland and GB too. And thanks UnuldorCZ for reconing that hole :)
dale0404 5 Posted May 4, 2011 Look here mate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NATO_Military_Symbols_for_Land_Based_SystemsAbout half way down under unit sizes. What do the black lines with crosses represent? Defensive lines? Answer ^^
stupidwhitekid75 11 Posted May 4, 2011 What do the black lines with crosses represent? Defensive lines? The x's? They represent force sizes per NATO. I believe the smallest number of x's is 4. 4 x's=Army (100,000 troops) 5 x's=Army Group (120,000+ troops) 6 x's=Region or Theatre (250,000+ troops)
lugiahua 26 Posted May 4, 2011 What do the black lines with crosses represent? Defensive lines? it probably means Unit Strength and size
Alwarren 2767 Posted May 4, 2011 The x's? They represent force sizes per NATO. Similar map is here (Totally unrelated, just for illustration purpose ;) )

iasmeymour 10 Posted May 4, 2011 No those symbols remain in use by NATO today. Actually now I look at it it appears to be a map showing turkey invading the rest of Europe! So no idea what it signifies...
