topas 1 Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) Well... hardly a solid reference (don't laugh, please :D) but at least this gives some clues and an idea on the layout of the hatches etc: http://www.lorist.co.rs/new/forum/index.php/topic,1643.msg42426.html#msg42426 There's even some interior shots :p Edited June 22, 2011 by topas
spooky lynx 73 Posted June 22, 2011 Looked at your MT-LB screenshots... Is it some local modification? As I know, soviet version with 12,7 mm MG is armed with NSV machinegun, and according to Wikipedia article, DShK is the armament of polish-made MT-LBs. NYX87 10 Posted June 22, 2011 (edited) There are some pictures at site SrpskiOklop: Here's the direct link to the M60,there are more photos at the bottom http://stef124.tripod.com/m60.htm M60P version has twin recoilless guns at the back end of the vehicle. You can find all the info on the armored vehicles that were used in the Balkans Wars in the 90's. There's also a section for local-made vehicles (mostly uparmored trucks, but there are some other very interesting conversions, pictures included) :) More pics of the top: http://en.valka.cz/viewtopic.php/t/18403 http://www.armyrecognition.com/serbian_army_serbia_light_armoured_vehicle_fr/m-60p_tracked_armoured_vehicle_personnel_carrier_serbia_serbian_army_technical_data_sheet_descripti.html Edited June 25, 2011 by NYX87
NYX87 10 Posted June 25, 2011 (edited) I don't know how accurate it is, but I know some polish-made made T55's (T55A version) were used in the war (Croatian Army had polish T55A's).So it's possible that this version of MT-LB is polish one. On the other hand many conversions were made on all sides (like mounting a 30mm auto-cannon (with the turret) from M80 APC onto the chassis of 2S1 Gvozdika (it had it's turret removed - probably it was malfunctioning due to some kind of damage). Darkhorse 1-6 16 Posted June 28, 2011 Well, dozens of us have been waiting to crash NodUnits Apache into a mountain, so I guess the same principle applies everywhere. :D
NYX87 10 Posted June 28, 2011 (edited) Great work SuperRat. Looks great, would be good if you can put some camo-netting on one of them ;) I remember seeing these vehicles on TV documentaries, they were mostly dug-in and served as static emplacements around Sarajevo. Serbs were making good use of camouflage during the NATO intervention in the late stages of the war. @Spooky Lynx - I don't understand (?russian side?- you mean Serb faction?),you should ask SuperRat or ThisIsBosnia for this as they're the ones making the mod,I just helped them with a little-tiny bit :). You should ask Vilas for his MT-LB and rework it for yourself or the comunity if your suggestion fails (MT-LB with NSVT and MT-LB with ZU-23) :) @IceBreakr: Ice? You know how the soldiers called this vehicle (M60)?? KANTA :D i PEGLICA :):) for it's poor armored protection. No need for Zolja, you can wreck it with a baby rattle if it's strong enough. :) Edited June 28, 2011 by NYX87

icebreakr 3159 Posted June 29, 2011 (edited) 9M32M strela-2M for example... http://images3.jetphotos.net/img/2/6/7/9/63915_1281456976.jpg Is this "kanta" too? http://img34.exs.cx/img34/4017/destroyedserbianvehicle1qy.jpg Will you incorporate Praga 30-2, quite often used vehicle during first years of war: http://www.parkvojaskezgodovine.si/images/images/fotke/TAZ-top_PAST.jpg ? Edited July 4, 2011 by IceBreakr
NYX87 10 Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) @Ice: No, that's a container :) Praga was used throughout the war,not only in the first years. Later it saw action on Kosovo used by VSCG. It was a fierce weapon when used in ground support role as it so often WAS the case (and it was used in it's primary AA role during the NATO strikes,Pragas were crating flak curtains),and the Serbs in Bosnia often used a Praga or two to defend the outnumbered fellow troops on hot-spots and to stop infantry attacks, especially in the hills where it's AA elevation came into the picture - and they often got the job done. Drawbacks: Lightly armored and not a very powerfull motor. Pragas often fired over their own lines since there was a serious threat that even a single AT round would send it burning. This weapon is a "must have" in this mod... Don't you think?? :) Edited July 4, 2011 by NYX87
superrat 10 Posted July 5, 2011 ok here's 120mm just finished texturing it i just need rvmat's done and this baby is good to go trucks are done here are some with plates did little bit more work on texturing of OTK M60
icebreakr 3159 Posted July 5, 2011 Is it possible to update the texture of M60 a bit to represent the more realistic tone:
Tonci87 163 Posted July 5, 2011 (edited) You mean the rusty tone? ^^ But yes, It would be a good Idea to apply some sort of "used look" on the vehicels. They are all to clean ATM Edited July 5, 2011 by Tonci87
icebreakr 3159 Posted July 5, 2011 Wear and tear, dirt... scratches... and also colour that would look closer to our "JNA helmets" than current olive green.
