ACE 1.6 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO

When you say "Swimming fix, based on TrueMods by RG.", what is this in reference to? Losing gear when swimming?

Looks like some great features this update, especially grenade explosion effects, placeable mines, choosing what side to exit helis

Infact it's a pretty damn awesome update on the whole

Ähm I really hate to say this, but sickboy your small config addon doesn´t really work. I still get the M4 rifles instead of the Scars......

I tried giving the SCAR addon a higher Priority than ACE, but this wont work too.

Just to clarify what I did:

Created a Folder named @ACESCAR and an addons folder inside it, placed pbo in there and launched together with ace

I want the SCARs, I did this but it isn't working...

Depends if they choose to support ACE Afterburners, see coding notes of; http://ace.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Afterburners

Here's a basic guide on how to support some of the custom ACE features (can be done by anyone):

great work guys, loving the new version, is it possible to make the order 'supressive fire' actually make the ai shoot at the location you are poining to by any chance?

Hi, just downloaded the various modules. I am a complete novice to this game, how do I install the mod? I looked in the dev site and read me etc, but could find no instructions.

I was trying to find the class name for the MK 17 RCO introduced in this release, but i can't find it on the classlist in the ACE page. Also the ACE SCAR's are listed on there but when i try to introduce them i get that anoying "no entry" error. A little help?

In any case you can always start the ACE Demo1 mission, and grab the rifle from the magic box, and use the built in debugging hints to grab the classname;

Sorry, still can't figure it out. The MK 17 RCO is working fine but the ACE SCAR's seem to not be working still. I've tried the demo mission but all i get is an empty crate. I'm probably doing something wrong but i have no idea what it is...

AT4 is just working fine here. Single shot, like it should (checked with last friday release).

Do you use any other addons/mods ?

Could be another problem though, the current ACE development version is not compatible to patch 1.54 anymore

(for example changes in fired EHs, late 1.54 beta patches should still work).

There are no other ACE scars since they are replaced with the OA ones. http://ace.dev-heaven.net/wagn/Changes_in_ACE_for_OA

There are still backwards compatibility classes, inheriting from the BIS classes, they are included in acex_usnavy_a2_compat;

Right. It was confusing me since i still see them in the ACE classlists. Would be nice to have them back tho, a SCAR ACOG with no GL would be nice, among others that used to be in there.

Hopefully you guys start adding some more variants of the SCARs again, I love that you guys added the Mk17 with only an RCO and foregrip. Wish you could keep doing stuff like that.

For next update i've tagged all backwards compatibility classes with ace_bwc = 1;, as well as added support into the config browser to filter these classes out by default.

Not sure if we will nurture the SCAR fever anytime soon though :)

it keeps saying not compatable wih version 1.55 or whatever for me:( i love this mod and i downloaded the latest version and i keep getting error messages and i dont go deaf when shooting mgs etc etc, is there a new arrowhead patch or is this an ace issue, if it is an ace issue where can i donwload the previous versions of ce, i dont know or certain but the ones just prior to what we have now, like ace_core was version 425 or something.... please help guys:(

also i dont get an ace menu or self interaction menu:( is anyone else having this problem, i am getting latest patch now but i hear it is still quite buggy with this new patch.....

also try ou the slx mod with ace and remove the stuff like extr movment speed and the extra health for vehicles and people and use the ace medical modual, it is absolutely awesome, but it can be a littl buggy sometimes, when u are shot in the chest you are incapped and usually unconscious but sometimes you just get incapped like in orignial arma2 without ace, also if you arent incapped you will usually get knocke doff your feet for a short amount of time, then there are other less significant features too, but what is really cool is the ai will work together and split half of their team into the assault and the other half into base of fire and thye will supress you, also suprression has a greater affect on both ai and humans, so with ace this mod (wih a little tweaking) is absolutely awesome:)
