ACE 1.6 (Advanced Combat Enviroment) for OA/CO

Okay i found the problem.

ACE rejects to update/install the newer version of ace.

I used the Ruby Gems update and there is nothing to update.

Same thing with GUI.

When i use console this appears on

ACEX_SM

CBA_OA

CBA

ACE

ACEX

And i won't update the other ARMA 2 ACE.

Message:

Does not seem to be a repository!

WARNING: Folder already exists but seems incompatible. Not Installing.

If you want the software to install this mod, please remove the modfolder or convert it

I'm pretty sure this problem has been addressed as well. Check your virtual store:

It would make flying helicopters more convenient if Hellfire K's and DAGR missiles could be launched and guided in Fire Control mode. Currently, AI gunners will not guide these missiles if the pilot launches them manually. They won't lase targets when ordered to unless they have control of the weapon.

This is unique to Hellfire Ks and DAGRs. Hellfire Ls, Hind missiles and Vikhrs work just fine.

Also, Hellfire L's can't be used the MELB Littlebird. Is there a technical or real-world reason for that?

And is the AH-1w going to make a comeback?

I just disabled a T-90, killing two crew members, with an itty bitty 70mm DAGR.

Was that a fluke or have you guys given this thing some serious anti-tank power?

Janes' describes it as for use against light armor and small structures.

Not really a bug, but if you fire the M109 in night time with nightvision, the bullet is huge and it looks like a bomb.

And I don't mean the impact, I mean the actual bullet.

I place any unit and I get this "no entry. Model Optics"

The problem goes away when I switch back to ACE 1.3 but I want to use all the new stuff. Anyone know whats going on?

I hope the 1.7 stable could be the ACE2 final release, thus much more mission makers would use the unified ACE.

Sorry, 'final' release?

Not sure there ever will be one, besides all our versions should be backwards compatible, and each new version adds features and new fixes and improvements, not sure why you would want a 'final' release.

Have you actually asked mission makers why they would or wouldn't make ACE missions?

If there are issues, people should report them so we know and can take care about them.

Quick question, as this isn't ticket worthy, is ACE planning on supporting BAF and PMC DLC's with the ACEX_SM?

EDIT: Also I'd like to say thanks to the ACE team for responding to all those changes, I know your busy so I'm done with feature requests.
