drmidnight 10 Posted November 7, 2010 Early kameez attempt, heavy wip, sleeves are next. I am going to keep it above the knees to avoid awkward looking animations.
enad 11 Posted November 7, 2010 Looks very nice as usual. These are the Heavys right? Will some have helmets of some sort?
Fox '09 14 Posted November 7, 2010 i was thinking maybe helicopter-transported guys would have protecs or at least some sort of helmets, they would be a sub set of the heavy guys, ie , nearly same gear , just they have helmets instead of caps.
enad 11 Posted November 7, 2010 Yeah that would be fine. Whatever you do, I'm sure it will look great.

bugkill 7 Posted November 8, 2010 i was thinking maybe helicopter-transported guys would have protecs or at least some sort of helmets' date=' they would be a sub set of the heavy guys, ie , nearly same gear , just they have helmets instead of caps.[/quote']They are CIA SAD and they pretty much use and wear what they want, so having some heavy models with helmets would be fine. I would recommend a couple models with protec and mich helmets, but the protec has to have some attachments on them and not be plain. These units would be assault units that work alongside JSOC/SOCOM units, so having them look similiar would be the way I would go.
Fox '09 14 Posted November 8, 2010 new BDU (thanks to ebolax 's bdu)): soon i must do the cuffs.. ewww
Big Mac 19 Posted November 8, 2010 @Fox I would suggest you get rid of the fatigues and go with local garb or long sleeve t-shirts with jeans intermixed with tactical vests. Granted there's not much to go on, but I'm just throwing it out there.

Again, our lighter units will be in full civilian garb as opposed to our heavier ones that will be in bdu's and more traditional gear.

drmidnight 10 Posted November 9, 2010 (edited) Forgot to post this last night, a big ol' 3-day pack. Ak is for show and also a place holder until I finish modeling a folding stock one. Also need to add molle straps, buckles, and a couple of other things, maybe some rope strapped to the bottom for those ops in the mountains. EDIT: Only thing I was able to work on tonight, a hood for a heavier jacket. It kind of drapes like a light fabric so I might redo it and actually use refs instead of freehanding it. Okkie Dokkie... Wasn't meant to sound harsh or rude or anything, it has just been stated numerous times in the thread. Edited November 9, 2010 by drmidnight
Big Mac 19 Posted November 9, 2010 Wasn't meant to sound harsh or rude or anything, it has just been stated numerous times in the thread. No offense taken I just think that with so little reference material to go on it would be best to stick with what we know and not what we speculate, but good luck. The lack of reference material makes these units a dream to work on because there is a lot of creative freedom while still remaining semi-true to the real world counterpart. enad 11 Posted November 10, 2010 Gawd these units are so bad. How can anyone one make such bad units. ;) Jawst kitten. Noice job drmidnight, your making these units just so much better! :D
