_S2_ 10 Posted July 31, 2010 the eclan isn't backwards, that little cylinder that protrudes from the objective lens is a honey comb to prevent sun glare and all that.
jeza 5416 Posted July 31, 2010 I'm a big fan of the 60 so for me would be a welcome adition . :) Nice work pall, thanks for the effort.
Fox '09 14 Posted July 31, 2010 ok, thanks!i think i was just looking at a different model, which led me to believe it was backwards: http://www.lonestarairsoft.com/forums/photopost/data/2/medium/1818m60snow.jpg
_S2_ 10 Posted July 31, 2010 oh and yeah, i know of several people who would love to have a M60 with some optics on it.
Big Mac 19 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) I look forward to downloading this Fox. One question though, do you plan on redoing the animations on the M60E4 so that you can hold the fore grip as well as being able to use the deploy the the bipod on it and when it's not in use fold it back up like with the AAW weapons? Edited July 31, 2010 by Big Mac
Fox '09 14 Posted July 31, 2010 I will contact AAW team about the bipod thing, but for the fore grip, yes, i'm going to do everything in my ability to make the that happen.
Devil Dogs SF 13 Posted July 31, 2010 Great stuff, love the m60.
Fox '09 14 Posted July 31, 2010 I've hit a rock with the anims. should i move the foregrip back, or attempt to make my own anims?
Big Mac 19 Posted July 31, 2010 I would suggest that moving the foregrip back as a last resort since it would take away from the realistic value of the weapon, but if that's all that's left then I wouldn't fault you for it.
Fox '09 14 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) ok, I'll see what I can do about animations. here is how far it would be moved back to fit the already in game anims: i would cover up the hole if I have to do it this way, but right now I'm going to try do anims. ---------- Post added at 05:32 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:29 AM ---------- if anyone is interested in testing a alpha version , pm me and ill pm you when i have it ready Edited July 31, 2010 by Fox '
roberthammer 582 Posted July 31, 2010 First thing - how did you get that M60E4? second - theres no rail for optics ,so you cant paste any optic on top :p third - looks like some model parts are missing - like that grip :O
Fox '09 14 Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) 1, odol to mlod? it's not hard to convert any model to mlod. Selections are broken, though. 2. Yeah, I know, I'm going to find a decent rail model on some other model, perhaps the scar. I don't want to have too many 'external' textures. 3. intentional, It somehow reminds me of the e3, i did it just for fun. nzdfcrash 33 Posted July 31, 2010 Put a picatinny rail on then place the scopes ontop and you will be sweet. Think the m4s had one on although im not sure

ray243 11 Posted July 31, 2010 Nice one! Is it for OA or arma 2?
nzdfcrash 33 Posted July 31, 2010 im guessing it would be oa/co as i think bi would be somewhat unhappy having stuff backwards ported
Fox '09 14 Posted July 31, 2010 Nice one! Is it for OA or arma 2? OA, they said a while ago you are not allowed to backwards port, only forward.

[/quote'] If you converted BIS (non-MLOD) models, to my knowledge we are not allowed to do that. :( There's a reason why there are no units released using edited ArmA2/OA models. BIS seems to tolerate hex-editing models for texture paths though (Legally, you also breaking the EULA by this). Edited July 31, 2010 by Icewindo
