  1. As a long-standing A3Wasteland community which was primarily based in Asia, ESPC Wasteland is now officially coming to Europe. ESPC Wasteland is running a highly customized A3Wasteland mission. As you can see from the server name, our server primarily focus on joint operation between land and air forces. You will have access to nearly all armed vehicles available in vanilla ArmA 3, including fully-armed jets and artilleries. We have 8 air strips (including a carrier) and a sea-crossing bridge that you can take off your jets from. All vehicles are equipped with thermal imaging devices if applicable. Infantries also have access to all kinds of thermal imaging devices. For those of you who love street battles. We also added multiple military towers in 4 major towns.   3. Did the new FM go into the 1.72 update? If yes, the fighter jets still bleed speed way too fast.
  4. Is it that AA IR missiles on CAS jets can only lock targets by using TGP? I can lock AG IR missiles by pointing the nose towards a target and pressing "R", without getting in the the TGP. However, this trick doesn't work for AA IR missiles, no mater how close the target is close to me. I have to get into the TGP, point the cursor to the target and then press "T" in order to get a lock. Is this a bug or a feature?

  6. I'm having a issue with landing VTOL vehicles and need some help. VTOL vehicles will now instantly throttle up to 100% once the landing gears touch the ground. The second they are airborne, they would then instantly throttle down to 0%, falling straight down and blow up.

  8. If signals from an opposing force's radar reach you, then you are painted by it. You aren't necessarily detected by it when you are painted though. It might be due to excessive ground cluster behind you or because you're flying on the bogey's 3-9 line or the signals are too weak to reach back to the opposing force's radar. There can be a lot of possibilities.
  9. When you hear the lock warning, the enemy jet would be already sitting on your face. The RWR used on the Flanker will give a warning tone whenever the own plane is painted (not even locked) by a radar, whether it is of a friendly or a foe. But I think it is reasonable to assume that RWRs in 2035 would have the ability to differentiate between friendly and hostile radar signals.
  10. No. It's a human piloted Wasp II with radar on. I was shot down by an AMRAAM. When I heard the incoming missile alarm tone, it was already too late.
  11. Can we have an audible alarm (e.g. a beeping sound) which will be launched whenever the own plane is painted by an radar? Last night, I was shot down by an enemy jet without even noticing it on the radar when I was preoccupied with a CAS mission using TGP. It would be nice if we can be alarmed against potential threats.

  14. How come incoming Titan AA missiles can trigger visible and audible alarms on jets? Aren't they IR guided?

    Will this be fixed? It is extremely frustrating to do a dogfight with current gunsight right now. It is much extremely hard to precisely align the gun cross with the lead indicator. Not only the gunsight of Wasp is wrong, the ones of Shikra and and Gryphon are also wrong in the same way. As displayed in the video below, the gun cross should be moving in response to the own plane's maneuvers, while the TD circle should stay on the target. This will make aiming much more intuitive. The cannons are also underpowered, especially for the Gsh 30mm cannon. In real life one or two 30 mm hits is enough to disable a fighter jet.
  17. My server has weaponCrosshair set to 0 in the difficulty settings in order to disable weapon cursors. Before the patch, that didn't turn off the cursors on armed vehicles like Pawnees and jets. After the patch, however, they are also gone. How can I keep vehicle cursors on while keeping weapon cursors off?

  20. A couple of questions: 1. What does the search and replace script do? Do I need to turn it off on the dedicated server? 2. Is the JBAD version compatible with CUP terrains now? If it is, does it requires JBAD to be installed on the server and clients to use it? 3. What is DPBEA?

  24. Currently all popular MP game modes such as KOTH and Wasteland have a money system. However, In my opinion, the money system greatly contradicts the concept of simulation. No soldiers in real life would need to purchase weapons/equipment/vehicles to join battle. Is there any good tactical MP game mode that doesn't require player to earn money in order to get good stuff?
