  2. So I hate to bump up old topics like these but ehrm.. Is there still any benefit into using this? Its been a loong time since its been last updated, and im running AMD (FX-8350) I'll keep using default because I feel its better to, but if someone can explain to me if this is better, pls do

  5. Great mission! One thing I do dislike however is that I always get missions that are on the other side of the map, could you make it so that you get missions closer to you? It makes no sense otherwise imo

  12. Thats what I mean, is there even a -hugepages parameter? I didn't know that. -enableHT seems to be pointed at intel CPUs with Hyper Threaded capabilities. (I think I read that somewhere?) Considering I'm AMD I'm not sure if it would help my performance. Thats what I mean, how can we know any of it works? Who knows better than the developers themselves, if they just make a wiki page on tips for performance they'd probably be the first. EDIT: Didn't see developers response. All is automated apparantly, so I guess we can quit the launch parameters.

Coming back on that, there is a lot of performance guides/FPS shit that people say works, but could you as the actual game developer tell us what kind of config edits/different launch parameters actually have a chance of increasing FPS? It could help a lot of us with figuring out what does work and what doesn't, and leave players with low-mid PCs with their games fully working rather than completely broken from the 500 edits they decided to make to get 2 FPS extra. Thanks!

    Removing JSRS made no difference unfortunately, it still did not work, but the .rpt seemed to show that ALiVE was initializing properly, but I can't be sure of that because it gave a bunch of errors which were either me closing the game or something else.. A quick fix (if even possible I haven't worked much with SQF) would be to add a timer to the check that handles the mission end and make it check only 5 minutes after the game has started and on from there, if there is more problems we could probably find then easier that way through testing/checking logs.

    I tried it again with just the mod order, it did not work, after the map "lobby" screen it just gives the loading screen and when that is gone it's mission completed and I am back at the lobby. Mod list: Last two under that are the map and it's objects. The map itself works fine as I have tried to use it, also made a small ALiVE battle and it worked, I suppose the problem lies with one of the mods indeed, just not sure which..

    I got most mods from the workshop and the ones that I could not get from there I downloaded through armaholic (or the links in the main post). The map loads in the editor and all, so it's not the map at least, and the only other mod would be ASR AI, but that should be fine, right?

    Hey man, I've gotten all those mods installed, put them in the precise mod order but for some reason it still refuses to work. I launch the mission, it loads up and I hear music but then it just says Mission Completed and it throws me back into the main screen. I re-downloaded the mission twice so that can't be it. And I'd love to play this!
  18. Nice mission! Is there already the ability to get an AI squad together? If not, when will we be able to? On another side, how can I allow myself to enter helicopters or remove the requirement limit altogether?

  20. Hey guys, I've recently managed to get a server up and running, took me only 200 GB of bandwidth, but it works. I've been fiddling with my network settings for some time now, and I'm pretty happy with the results thus far, however, I'd like to get some help from the more experienced people in tweaking my config just right. Here's some info about the server: CPU: Opteron 3365 - 8-core at 2.3GHz Memory: 16 GB ECC Ram Network: 1Gbit connection -- (Heh, internet speed: http://puu.sh/7d20u/ec7942c63e.png) Mission: Evolution, usually. Playeramount: Depends on who joins, really, for the hell of it, assume 32 players. Since that is my maximum playercount. Here is my network settings thus far: MaxMsgSend=512; MinBandwidth=10485760; MaxBandwidth=104858000; MaxCustomFileSize=0; MinErrorToSend=0.0020000001; MinErrorToSendNear=0.003; MaxSizeGuaranteed=512; MaxSizeNonguaranteed=256; Thanks in advance, and I hope we can get some things going so my server will run even smoother! - Laser.
  21. Hey guys, I've been spending a couple of hours now trying to get my server to run. ArmA 2 worked amazing on the first try, but OA just seems to hate me. I managed to fix all the shit I've encountered so far, but this one is just not leaving me alone. This is what's been spamming me for quite some time. I have switched missions, changed my config, checked everything twice. But it just fucks up, and I'm getting tired of it.     Server refuses to launch

    Done a full re-install, ArmA 2 OA files first, then added ArmA 2's Dta, Keys and Addons folder to it. Everything stopped functioning from there, giving me the log as above. EDIT: I found the problem. It was in my -maxMem parameter. For SOME damn reason. I got it fixed now, so hooray!

  24. Hate to bump this too much, but are you planning on expanding upon this mission? I really love the guerilla-type missions.. Of which there aren't a lot. And this is by far my favorite.
  25. Hey there everyone, I guess I'll start with apologizing for placing yet another one of "those" threads, however I have tried a lot of things, but without any success. My problem lies with ArmA, I usually play on combined ops. Usually DayZ mods, but also warfare most of the time. My FPS sticks to an average 10-25, hitting 30 is quite rare for me.. And this is with my videocard overclocked to it's limits. To compare this, playing Counter Strike: Global Offensive on every setting maximized, on 1920x1080, gets me an FPS of.. 150 to 300.. Yep, quite a difference. Of course, as many, I have tried changing settings, but none of these really allowed me to play the game with a higher FPS than 10 to 25.. ArmA 3 is even worse. So I'm here, hoping to find someone with more expierence on the matter, who may be able to tell me what my could be, or as the title says, where the bottleneck is. So, off to specs: OS: Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) Processor: AMD FX-6100 3.3 GHZ (With 3.8 GHZ boost) RAM: 16 GB of Corsair valueselect (1333 Mhz) Videocard: GTX 650E 2GB OC'd on 6008 Mhz memory clock, and 1171 Mhz on GPU clock rate. Other than that, I don't have anything intensive running in the background, no antivirus, nothing. Tried to run the game on an SSD with no improvements. I have an extensive startup parameter list, however: -skipintro -malloc=system -maxMem=16384 -maxVRAM=2048 -cpuCount=6 -exThreads=7 In any case, I am unsure what my problem would be, the game is unplayable, and I won't even begin on howmuch of a hell the "optimized" ArmA 3 is for me..
