Absolutely good point..I really would love to see Global Mobilization and CSLA Iron Curtain brought over to Reforger- This could become somekind of Cold War plattform :) with the original SP campaigns for OPF implemented later on as well.. -

Reforger map-making for A4

As I understand it Reforger is and will be a game on its own, with its main function/focus being testing enfusion tech. Arma 4 will then run on the final tech but will be a completely new game. The thing is if Arma 4 would be completely incompatible with Reforger mods , then this here all would be a big waste of time. I see Reforger mainly as a chance for modders preparing and porting their existing Arma3 stuff for/to Enfusion. As Gunter Severloh stated, it would be a huge pain in the ass to completely begin from scratch with one setting,one map, 5 factions and a handfull of vehicles.....This would also be completely contrary to the idea of an Arma plattform.... -

Yeah the basic stuff will be definitely the same, configurations and inis will change though, but this has been the same for Arma 3. What I would find more interesting is the situation on using Arma 3 stuff for making maps/mods in Enfusion. I wonder if has anyone tested for exampe making Stratis work on Enfusion ? ๐ Or did I miss something and this is completely forbidden ? -
Random thoughts ๐ Inspiration taken from the movies "I am Legend" , "Crazies" and "28 Days Later". Infected activities and behaviours depending on the level of daylight, roughly ranging from idling and hiding in the shadows and interiors during daytime and roaming around, hunting during night time and anything in between. This would defenetly add some new tactical and gameplay elements and also could lead to some very dramatic situations in case of sudden weather changes ( would of course require a dynamic weather system). Imagine walking through a dark forest full of idling infected hiding from the sun, when suddenly dark clouds fill the sky and the infected start to awake ...or looting a small town at the coast when out of nowhere thick fog rolls in from the sea ....city streets in bright daylight would be more or less completely safe while pitch dark interiors would be deadly traps. During night time though, when the infected start to roam around and hunt, such interiors would be empty and could be looted ( how scary that would be). The possibilities would be endless since you also could play around with infected senses and then mix and match to whatever liking. Also I could imagine the infected not to be just like the28 Days Later infected including sprinting, vaulting and climbing but also a bit like from the movie "Crazies" make them use in some cases melee weapons like kitchen knives, axes and pitch forks etc. :)) and climbing ladders and opening doors.... Why not even adding some nasty booby traps..as you said, the infected are hunting us ! I am really happy to see you working here on the new engine ๐ keep it up

I personally find it very important to have high quality resources for creating new maps. Even if the game runs smooth like hell and everything is super cool...it will be boring after a short time if any map looks like the Czech Republic during the 1980ies....we had this before. We also know that there are not that many community members that are able and willing to create and also provide new building sets etc. From my technical understanding most or maybe all statics from Arma 3 should work fine in Enfusion except for interiors, which I guess need some overhaul for the new interiors lighting/shadows. So for me the questions was/is...will BI provide this resource, or if not allow us to use and import them....hell they can even sell map packages as addons. Last but not least would it be super interesting to know how future maps can be edited in Enfusion...It would be so cool to completely change a map from let's say a future setting to a WW II setting or even a black Powder setting or the other way round into a sci fi map....I mean they are talking about Enfusion as a plattform.

For me the big questions is...will this be a real plattform? Will BI include for example all the terrain resources from previous Arma titles, maybe even the complete terrains. I would love to continue playing on Altis, Tanoa, Malden, Livonia..as well as on Chernarus, Takistan and Sahrani with all the good stuff Enfusion is bringing. To be honest I would be really pissed if we would get Enfusion with just Everon and and a new map for Arma 4 and then have to wait another 10 years until the comunity painfully mananges to import all the old stuff and maps. Same goes of course for gear, weapons, vehicles and items etc...loosing all the good stuff from Arma 3 would be a pain in the ass for me!! For me a real Arma plattform means having all of the Armaverse resources avaible for modding, ranging from the cold war to the 2035 scenario to whatever Arma 4 will be !

This interview ( link in the video) brings a lot of information ๐ As it seems, it will be not that difficult to port/ use the Arma 3 terrains. Main problem ( more a lot of work than a problem) seems to be the converting of all the building textures for the new lighting system. But finally...proper lighting for interior and exteriors...this is a big one ! Proper lakes and rivers are mentioned as volumetric cloudes, fog and wet surfaces ....and yes the already ported Tanoa to Enfusion and tested it for the PS4...hopefully all the assets will be directly avaible for modding ๐ -

Hmmm to be honest...this still leaves so many things unanswered xD First of all...will there be any kind of asset library including all the stuff from previous Arma games, or do we start again with one official island and 3 vanilla factions??? Will we have to painfully convert every vanilla map and building again as a mod or will for example Altis, Tanoa etc. resources be included in some way ??? It would be so nice to have the possibility to get or create all Arma maps on the same and newest technical quality standart within the first months or even right from the start. Secondly...will there be more freedom to work on the vanilla maps...allowing us to, for example, transform Tanoa completely into a 17th century black powder style map and so on.... -

In fact the actual border was not even noticable in many wooded areas especially around the Bavarian National Park. In some cases tourists, which were stupid enough, to ignore the warnings, were sometimes arrested by Chzechoslovakien border patrols and had to pay a high fine ( of course in western currency) before they were allowed to return. -
These packs are awesome...do you consider making similar packs for let's say South East Asia and Latin America. As far as I remember you had an Eastern Europe pack as well ๐ Keep it up and thx for doing this

So even I was home very late from work last night I could not resist to give it a test ๐ + a map that absolutely feels like it was made officially by BI, very authentic and very detailed + dromedaries...even if it is a running joke, they add so much to the authentic feel...BI should learn from this + very good Arma 3 timeline lore and factions + some very nice new toys like ballistic shields and armed drones + a very well made SP/COOP scenario + adds a lot to the Arma Sandbox for mission makers etc. + cool new rifle - ( this is more a personal one) the ION faction could be fleshed out a bit more with more different outfits and vehicles ..why not adding the black vans or the ION little bird that allready exists ๐ The new outfits with the red and white shirt are looking very cool...a few more variations would be nice. Also incorporating the existing ION shirts from the base game in different colours, instead of using black or white shirts or FIA outfits. Very nice work..I would love to see more such dlc's adding to the Arma3 timeline and sandbox...especially for such a good price !!! -

I personally think Resident Evil style gameplay would work very well here even with the Arma limitations...means unlock new areas ( doors) by solving puzzles and fighting enemies...all combined with this scary and claustrophobic atmosphere...some good story telling and boss fights ๐ This cries for a good single player or coop campaign ! This was possible cDLC?! Why not?! ...combined with the above ground terrain that was shown and some survival modules that would have been probably too much of a Day Z competitor ๐ so yeah -

For me personally this seems to become the first real good looking and authentic WW II western front map we've got so far. May sound harsh but all the other existing maps look oudated and honestly not very authentic. The Pacific maps from FoW are pretty good and so are the original eastern maps from Iront Front but that's it for me..the rest do the the job but well.... I really hope we will see a few more maps made by you....I also love the seize of this map...reminds me a lot of the Hell let Loose maps ๐ keep it up -

I would love to see this happen..in the very early days of Arma 3 I was working on something called "The Bering Sea Project" I had more or less finished 3 relativley small fictive islands, based on real life locations. One Island being a Nato Airbase ( google Eareckson Air Station), one being a CSAT Navy Base (completely fictive) and one being a vulcanic island lying between them (google Amukta island). The map was called Kommandorskaya. I would die for an 2035 arctic scenario like this...enough space for air and naval combat, landing operations and special operations of all kind, especially using the underused Arma underwater mechanics... In opposite to Tanoa such a location would run buttely smooth since there would be nearly no vegetation and no big cities..... still have some old screenshots ๐ https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198055404693/screenshots#scrollTop=0 -

Looking awesome indeed....regarding feedback , it is a sad truth that as soon as a game has exceeded its zenith for a long time, even modding masterpieces do not get as much feedback, likes and downloads as they would deserve. Simple retextures or weapon mods, or mods simply adding a nice and detailed outpost somewhere getting a lot more attention during the prime time after the initial release of the relevant games. Also people are used to get tons of content for free , sometimes even high quality content...sadly in most cases without being thankful. keep it up ๐ -

This campaign is highly recommended !! Finished it a few minutes ago....and it is exactly what I hoped for ! thx a lot for your hard work ! PS : For me as someone playing Arma SP most of the time, out of the box this CDLC including the campaign of course, was a much better deal for me than the higly praised Prairie Fire.
