Burnes Armories Tanks and Deployment Vehicles
taumargin replied to a topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Sorry to hear about losing another great Mod designer. But it doesn't surprise me at all reading some of the comment's in other threads. I wish Katie a successful future and thanks for the Panther CLV my little crew couldn't do without it. -
I had exactly the same problem after installing an SSD. Steam obviously creates a duplicate temp file when downloading things, so bloody frustrating. Now I use steam workshop just for CUP terrains and ALiVE. Keep an Arma store folder on another HDD full of mods from Armaholic/Forums etc. Import them locally into Arma launcher. Not the best for auto updates etc, but you know where your mods are and they don't instantaneously fill your SDD/HDD everytime there's an update.

As a new map maker this is great new's, congrats on the release.

Controls not working in Buldozer External viewer
taumargin replied to taumargin's topic in ARMA 3 - TERRAIN - (BUILDER)
Hi I resolved this issue by using https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/118907-bushs-geotypical-microterrains-source-files-beginners-guide/ there is a section on setting up Buldozer and adding the keybinds in the P: /users/ config ps No it didn't work if I went into the Arma 3 game and set up keybinds ingame. Nether did changing the BD start up parameters to -buldozer -window -cfg=p:\buldozer.cfg -name=Taumargin Thanks again bushlurker for a great guide to Microterrains -

Thanks to bushlurker's guide: https://forums.bistudio.com/topic/118907-bushs-geotypical-microterrains-source-files-beginners-guide/ Making a terrain in Arma 3 as a beginner is stupendous. I hope one day I can share my map, but I fear Arma 4 may be around when I do. :P ps Thank you bushlurker :627: :627: :627: :beeeers: and :dancehead: <<me -
~ ArmA 3 Sound Modding 101 ~
taumargin replied to megagoth1702's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: DISCUSSION
Boom Can I use your sounds in a video game? Yes, you can use the sounds in any game production you want even if the sounds are in an open database in the software. Happy days. Great Library btw -

This is an excerpt from the 'Boom library' sound effects collection. I'd check with the library owners for distribution rights before releasing anything. "The MEDIA LICENSE also forbids any re-distribution method of the CONTENT, through any means, including but not limited to, re-selling, trading, sharing, resampling, mixing, processing, isolating, or embedding into software or hardware of any kind, for the purpose of re-recording or reproduction as part of any free or commercial library of musical and/or sound effect samples and/or articulations, or any form of musical sample or sound effect sample playback system or device." :) -
Controls not working in Buldozer External viewer
taumargin posted a topic in ARMA 3 - TERRAIN - (BUILDER)
Hi, I could really use some help right now, I've been trying to create my first terrain using the Jakerod and friends Atlas guide (which is great). I've got as far as importing height maps, satelite and mask etc.... Generating layers great. Then I connect to Buldozer, which loads everything up as it should and I can't move whilst the External viewer displays the rendered terrain. I have to alt-tab back to TB. I've read a lot of posts relating to editing the startup parameters, defining in-game Development controls etc but nothing seems to work. I'd really appreciate any help at all. Thanks -

taumargin replied to Juhansson's topic in ARMA 3 - BI TOOLS - TROUBLESHOOTING
This hasn't worked for me :( i'm at the end of my tether any new ideas would be warmly welcomed. Left mouse button when pressed changes normal mode to select mode, the F2 button zooms in out, F1 button bring up a UI interface without text.... :banghead: Tools\Preferences\buldozer\Launch parameters -buldozer -window -cfg=p:\buldozer.cfg -name=Taumargin -

Great work best looking fast rope yet ;)

Whilst 'running' without any weapons at all, the timing of the character footstep movement sound effect becomes unnatural on all; or most surface types. Almost hunchback of notre dame in timing :P. Apologies if mentioned before or on your to do list and continue your great work. We could do with a nice 'splash' sound effect (for people like myself who have nothing better to do on a day off) for leaping off the Tanoa docks into the water. :D

LT: Living Through - Live another day - TOTAL MODIFICATION for Arma 3
taumargin replied to fromz's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
This map (tunba) is broken now as of update 1.6 due to the visual update. The skies are so dark and the land so saturated, it's taken the form of a scifi planet. If fromz is no longer around is it possible to create a separate config or patch to update this map to the 1.6 standards. This is truly a dark day for me pun intended. :( Thanks -

This map has an amazing amount of detail, do you all have grey beards? It reminds me of one of the better maps on bad company 2. Nice job ;) thanks -
Terrain - Porquerolles Island
taumargin replied to tyrghen's topic in ARMA 3 - ADDONS & MODS: COMPLETE
Hey, Great map really enjoyed playing on this, the last couple of nights. As already mentioned those little green plant's kill my fps too :) but they look so good lol. I did have a problem with larger vehicles like the AI tanks..path finding, in the narrow streets. But it didn't bother me that much, just thought I'd mention it. Top work though, I love the open meadows make for some great firefights. ;) Great for E and E type missions. Thanks
